Demon's/Dark Souls Thread. Dark Souls II!

It doesn’t. It’s just easier to get the divine ember upgrade early in the game. You’re playing correctly.

I haven’t had that glitch but i did kill that mofo though lol. Once you return to the Northern Asylum again, you fight two of them and the Stray Demon.

I am using a Wanderer, level 27 with the Broadsword+2, Elite Knight Helm, Black Leather Boots+1, Wanderer Armor + 2 and the shield from killing the dying knight from the asylum after he turns on you. Seriously, I can’t find anyone to play with. I just got to the Darkroot Garden and I found a bonfire next to the wall adjacent to the door that you need 20,000 souls to buy a key for. Someone wanna do some co op with me? Just shoot me a message. FujiwaraDashing on PSN.

so i finally beat those damn bell gargoyles. Shit brings back nightmares of man eaters. So where do i go after i beat the bell gargoyles?

How to proceed

Spoiler

Down the elevator in the chapel back to Firelink Shrine. From there, make your way back to the bridge the Dragon is on. You should have found the key to open the locked door there in the Undead Parish.

Alrighty, took out the Armored Boar pretty easily and traversed up through the zombie dining party, what’s behind the white light door at the top? I didn’t feel like going through only to fight the Red Dragon and lose all my souls so went back to the bonfire (Wish their was a closer one) leveled and saved.

Found it after the post, felt like an idiot lol. Might sit there and farm souls to get it, haven’t decided yet. Still need those souls to up my strength enough to use the Drake Sword, and I’m really wishing I had it now that I saw those gargoyles lol. I lost to them even with a phantom helping, but I almost had one of them dead. Only tried it once, gonna give it another shot. Any advice in case I come back here a few hours from now on some HOSHUHSKHRKSHRF FUCK GARGOYLES type shit?

I dont recall if i found the key. ill have to take a look at my game when i get home.

Focus on the first one, while trying keep them separated(Solaire should help you with that). If you can kill him, you pretty much have the fight won.

Is there anywhere that I can go grab a humanity after dying? I got the one up near the gold knight that you released in the chapel attic, I’m still not sure about how exactly you obtain humanity from enemies. Hollowed after losing to him again, and I can’t summon Solaire without him.

Rats drop humanity sometimes.

You seem to get humanity randomly from killing some enemies. The game will give you humanity up to ten per area, unless you kill the boss in which case it is impossible to get humanity from that area ever again.

Also if you go white phantom and complete the level then you gain one humanity.

But how do you get humanity without even killing anything? I just spawned from a bonfire and was running along when I see this black swirl that gave me a point.

The guide for this game is actually pretty nice and unlike most guides, it spells everything out really well.

I am enjoying my strength/Stam character. I really want her to use heavy hammers by the end of the game. I don’t understand why they saw fit to add Dex requirements to most of the Great swords, other than that, I think that the game is an improvement over Demon Souls in most areas. The clipping and frame rate become a problem at times, though.

Yeah, happens sometimes. Its just random.

so once you fly back to the assylum how do yo give that bird it’s gifts? i laid it in the nest but nothing happened, i even went to firelink and came back and nothing happened. i dropped an item that he would trade for so i know it is supposed to work…

im outi

Quit the game and go back there.

You guys were saying there’s another way to get to Blighttown other than the door next to the merchant in the Depths?

Spoiler

If you chose the master key as your gift, there is an unlockable gate near the entrance to New Londo Ruins via the Firelink Shrine that leads to the Valley of Drakes. From here, head straight and cut a right across the first bridge you see. After that, turn around and enter the first cave you see, pass the three troll monsters there and bam, Blighttown.

path

[details=Spoiler]From the blacksmith, go down into the darkroot garden.
After the first enemy, but before the second, hug the right wall and you’ll find a path that leads down.
If you follow the path all the way (keep going past an area where it opens up and you can explore), you’ll wind up in a cave that you can follow that leads you to another area.
Head left from there, hugging the wall, and at the very end of the path you’ll find a locked gate and a cave that leads to another entrance to blight town that is less of a pain in the ass. You’ll also find a key that opens the locked gate which gives you quick access back to firelink[/details]

Yea, slow downs can get so bad it feels like a power point presentation, fuckin’ awful.
Thing is, it isn’t effect my joy of the game, but I hope they fix it sometime in the future.

IIRC, Sony had to release a patch to fix the issues in Bayonetta
