did he have those red eyes? lol guessing thats in 4-1.
I need more Project Dark info. Dammit it’s too early to be this fired up over it. Come on From Soft, time warp that shit.
If you die in a multiplayer world, do you automatically go back to your world or do you get to see your partners finish the world? Like if i summoned someone to help me kill a boss, but I died, and he killed the boss, does it count for me?
I didn’t even touch multiplayer my first time through.
Nope. If the host dies, the stage is over and everyone is booted.
aim at it’s ankle!!! I remember playing that boss a few times and thinking the exact same thing. I had a spare at the time, equipped it, and went to work at it’s feet area. Mofo fell down and I stabbed the shit out of it. Flame Lurker… now that mofo was haaaarrrd!!! I needed help to beat him…
Flamelurker can be a dick until you learn his attacks. Greatswords like DBS or Meat Cleaver (technically a hammer but come the fuck on, it’s a sword) own his face though because they do enough raw damage to stagger him in single hits and interrupt his combos, nerfing his KO potential. Knowing when to roll during his strings is crucial.
And yeah, Tower Knight is free if you get him in the leg, especially if it’s NG or NG+ to where you have Light/Curse Weapon or Sticky White Stuff to enchant. Once he falls down to an enchanted weapon, he doesn’t get back up. The only real danger move he has is the elbow drop with the shield, that move is lethal if the actual shield connects (and can even kill with the shockwave on squishy characters).
This game makes me wanna punch babies.
That is how NG+ makes me feel sometimes.
I’m a magic build with not nearly as much Vitality as Magic meter and 1 hit is taking 70% of my life sometimes, 2nd hit is fatal. The other night I was playing and running up the arch in the Nexus, deciding on what level to go beat and shut it off and said fuck all of them.
Those octopus guys hit me 1 shot 90%, after I sliced him 5 times with my Crescent Falchion +4. All I was trying to do was by some Old Spice from that lady.
I love this game. Best PS3 game that I own.
reminder that everyone gets pwwt until the 18th and pbwt for the rest of the month!
time to get your DBS’s!!!
Dang it. I just platinumed DS. I’m working on other games. Don’t pull me back in.
I’ll finally be able to get me some Colorless Demon Souls this month. Time to start buffing mah Kris Blade. Guess I’ll dump this Kilij and start rocking the Great Sword that goes with this Demon Mage build I decided to take up.
So since I picked up a PS3 and finally got my PSN up I an diving into DS.
Is there any advice you guys who have been playing it for a while have to offer?
I know the starting classes don’t factor in TOO much but is there one that’s a better start than another?
Royal is the easiest to start out with because you start with magic already. It allows you to range attack the enemies until you are more comfortable with hand to hand combat. Downside is your vitality is real low.
Best advice I can give is keep your shield up at all times in a new area, because there are enemies around corners hidden pretty well.
Royal also starts with an MP regen item. Royal is pretty much the best class to start with for the first time.
My advice is to practice releasing lock-on and rolling. Lock-on is the number one cause of death for me (it changes the control orientation and can make you roll to your doom). Also, rely on roll more than block. If you see a slow move coming in time to block, parry that shit!
Nothing like rolling with lock-on and falling off the edge in world 4, rofl.
BTW, I hate BP Cthulu heads. Those mother f’rs are a bitch.
The BP squid dudes? Just gank them from behind, 9 times out of 10 you can sneak up on em or run at them while they’re chiming their bell with their back turned, they won’t turn around in time and they get effed up quick after that if not killed outright.
Or Build a lava bow and kill them in one shot!!!
I started with a hunter and that was pretty easy. Any class that starts with ranged capabilities helps a lot.
Squid guys are easy once you get, anti magic field
