you have to keep him alive till after you kill the man-eater boss, then go back and kill him in the nexus. If your world is pure black, then mephistopheles shows up on the 2nd floor and gives you random quest. Which you can get colorless souls and tailsman of the beast from her. Colorless souls let you upgrade special items, and tailsman of the beast lets you cast spells and miracles.
I hope for your NPCs’ sakes that you didn’t leave him walking around The Nexus too long.

That is the problem.
I let him out, went to the Nexus and he wasn’t there. I got scared that the game glitched or something because I killed Ostrava in the first stage after he gave me the gift for helping him(I’m a dumbass that got him confused with Yurt, because I read so much about it). After I found out I killed the wrong guy, I was pissed and was going to start over. What do you know, he still showed up in Level 2, this time I let him live.
Anyway, Yurt doesn’t show up right away in the Nexus, you might have to beat a couple of stages first. I poisoned his ass in the Nexus and he cussed me out. LOL
Lol. Yurt’s armor is too legit for me to wait until he gets to the Nexus.
Yurt’s armor isn’t very good, it just looks okay (the prongs, ruin, EVERYTHING). The resistances are cool but it’s magic and physical resistances are lower than even the Temple Knight starting set.
