Demon's/Dark Souls Thread. Dark Souls II!

Actually, doesn’t killing Primevals do a major shift toward white, not black? So if you want BP Scirvir (for his talisman I assume) you wouldn’t want to off Primevals. Just die, use a Stone of Ephemeral Eyes and repeat until Pure Black. Yes you get screwed out of like three stones, but offline it’s surefire Pure Black.

Oh yeah that’s right, it’s +3 not -3, my bad
Been a minute since I’ve played.

It came out Feb. 2009 in Japan, but that’s nitpicking.

got the game and im loving it. during the tutorial, i face this first boss whos a fat monster with a huge sword. je killed me in 2 hits. can i face him again and do i face him againl. or is he only available on the tutorial, meaning you gotta kill him the first time.

another q, with double handed weapons, is it possible to parry? i did it easilt with the shield, and R1 to counter and stab them to death. is this possible with double handed swords or does L2 only block with these weapons?

lastly any tips? i think i might try the first go without the guide, or at least as lil as possible.

It’s possible to kill that tutorial boss with a bit of skill and dodging; you’ll get sent to another area with some loot and then get killed by something else, lol. The tutorial boss shows up later in the game.

And no, it’s not possible to parry with double handed weapons. AFAIK, you can only parry and kill (reposite) with a shield equipped.

damn thats a shame. something i didnt ask correctloy in my first post. this is my first play through, is it possible to kill him on the first pay through or is my level too low, not good enough weapons and such?

last q, if its possible on the first playthough i want to start again and kill the bitch. what i want to know is, after half an hour or so i finally managed to make a character that doesnt look total retarded. can i use this again or do i need to go through troubles of making the character again? my current character looks pretty brutal, so id like to keep him. not a big issue obviously, just cosmetic.

You can parry and riposte with a dagger in your offhand, too. And yes, you can kill him on the first playthrough. I think you’ll have to remake your character, though.

Blue bird sword, anti magic field, light sword, gold dull set, light weapon, mana ring, and life ring, with lava bow, talisman of the beast, ya my character is broken. Made a female cause I dont like looking at males all day.

You can parry with rapiers, too.

This game is full of all kinds of fucking win. I played it through 90+hrs, but now i’m going on to another game.

Anyone here play PvP? I’m almost finished creating my lvl120 Blueblood build.

I want to know if there is a table somewhere on the internet that shows the Blueblood sword damage increase for every Luck point invested. Couldn’t find anything useful on google.

Also not sure how much, if anything, I should be putting into Magic to boost the Light Weapon spell.

I’m thinking of focusing entirely on ranged combat with the Hands of God as my melee weapons of choice. I started out with a Royal.

While I’m on the subject of shit I’d love to do, does anyone know if there’s a cheap way to kill Miralda on the first playthrough directly after killing the Phalanx?

Is it possible to make Emperor Palpatine in this game?

She can’t block, so just whiff punish and dodge forever. It can be hard, but at least it’s guaranteed.

Sounds simple enough. Focusing on ranged combat could give me an edge, even though all I have is the asstastic Soul Arrow.

^since i lost my gamesaves(hard drive recovery loop), i started a new game as a wanderer. i beat the phalanx, loaded up on arrows for the red dragon, but instead went after miralda. just dip in and out of where she is, lure her about halfway to the gate you came through, then book for all you’re worth. she won’t follow you all the way, and she takes a minute to get back to her spot, so you can pelt her with arrows till she gets back. rinse and repeat, and you’re good to go. i had about 300 arrows saved for the red dragon, but i didn’t need that for miralda. best to be stocked up just in case.

I ended up falling into the pit and taking her with me. Bitch is dead and I have her sexy outfit. Fuck yeah? Fuck yeah.

Good job.

…why is there not a beer mug smiley

:bottle: …close enough

…I’m just gonna leave this here.
