Any suggestions to take out Old King Doran? I got the Demonbrandt from him but I want the trophy, the souls and his armor set, which give pretty decent stats. I was watching some videos and some player had the thief’s ring on, lured the king out to the area where the catapults are in 1-1 and backstabbed him multiple times.
Roll. There are invincible frames when you roll and you just gotta time it right. Wait for him to do a heavy attack, go up to him, hit him, roll. Wash rinse repeat.
Just lame him out with Poison Cloud, it will take 3 casts and will slowly eat up his HP.
What I did was cast it, back up blasted him with Soul Ray or Soul arrow, I don’t remember exactly.
He will chase you, just run far enough away and he will give up chase, go back and blast him again and run away. Whenever it runs out, cast it on him again.
Safest way to not get touched.
in 1-3, the fogged gate right wher eyou faught the tower knight. it says i cannt enter until i’ve slain an Archdemon?

You have to beat the last boss from another world first.

When you’ve gotten to the Old One, you either exit from him and walk away OR kill the Black Maiden. Killing the Black Maiden will give you the red stone for NG+
whhhat, i gotta beat the game first? 
For the red stone yes… for the black stone no. I believe you obtain the black from either killing a human black phantom or an NPC black phantom. I believe I got mine off the the two black phantoms in 2-2 after you get off the elevator and can go left or right through the tunnels.
You can for sure get a black one your first playthrough. The only difference between the two is with black, you invade someone else’s game that is in body form. Red is more of a dual type thing… and you lose a soul level if you’re defeated when you use it!
also if you save the witch Yuria. She teaches that one spell from the dragon god, the fire spell owns everyone.

So I’ve been farming for 2 hours in the 4-2 secret passage for a pure bladestone and so far no luck. From just killing the reaper and the black skeleton I’ve managed to stack up 800k souls, and this is only in NG. :lol: And the thing is that I don’t want to level up, so I have no idea what I’m going to do with it once I’m done. I’ll probably play coop and if someone invades and kills me they’ll be graciously rewarded. 
EDIT: Nvm, got sleepy and died by mistake. 1.4 million gone. :lol:

Whenever you kill an enemy like that just hit start and load game. You won’t lose their items that way.
The only trophies I need are the “Get the final upgrade” blah blah blahs.
Any easy tricks to get those?
I must admit this game is pretty sick… I don’t have a PS3, but watched a friend play for like an hour and a half… the enemy bosses are fuckin’ huuuuuuuuuuuge!
Find somebody to let you hold one until the trophy registers, if you don’t want to grind it out.
I prefer to grind it out, but I’m not against donations of Pure stones.:wgrin:

annd im kinda screwed. not enough arrows to kill red dragon on 1-2, and i ran out of healings in 2-2

Solution? Get better. lol. But man, later in the game you get sooooo much healing items it’s not even funny. Maybe I just don’t use a lot.
yo i was looking at the pantheon leaderboards shit, and what does it mean to save a phantom, they have a section for most phantoms saved…
