Demon's/Dark Souls Thread. Dark Souls II!

Ostravia is not the one who helps you on this fight… it’s Biorr who helps you. You have to rescue him from the jail cell right before the Tower Knight. There’s a locked door that is unlocked by killing one of the fat officials in 1-3… also, there will be anoter fat official where Biorr is that has another set of keys. This set unlocks the gate where the dogs are at the start of 1-3 so you can rescue Yuria.

Where’s the fun in that? I’ve tried that once before, and found out that things can go bad real fast behind that pillar. I’d rather beat him legit anyways. Getting cornered is my main problem.

Talisman of God and Gold mask. You can also get them by killing primeval demons (pure black world tendency spawn only) and even then it’s not a guaranteed drop. Mephistopheles offers them as rewards for a two of the assassinations as well. Since you’re in NG++ now though, I’d say you have enough spare Talismans of God by now, so you should be in good shape.

I do have warding, it’s just that atm, I only have 3 spell slots, so the setup I use is Light Weapon and Protection. I prefer the heavier damage than the extra defense, cause Warding and Protection wear off WAY too fast. So does water veil, and there’s no real point in using it with Purple Shield and Flame Resistance ring.

Get the full leather set that Graverobber Blige sells in 4-1 and 4-2 (you have to rescue him in 4-1 for him to show up in 4-2). I’m guessing your endurance isn’t too high, so this set will probably allow you to quick roll again and quick sprint, which is imperative to wanderer type characters in my mind. Always remember this… to be able to move fast, the total amount of weight you have equipped needs to be less the 50% of your total max equipment burden. If your equip burden is 40 for example, then you have to have on less the 20 equiped.

so i was getting some souls in 4-1 today and i got invaded for the second time. that poor guy had no idea what was going on. needless to say i am really close to pure white now!!!

you just probably have not learned all of them yet, so i wouldnt worry about a glitch.

i’m really struggling with 4-2. I can get to the boss fine, but I get beat on very hard… and i need to kill the blue dragon in 1-4.

any suggestions for this? for some reason it is not letting me unlock biorr

4-2’s boss can be a piece of cake once you learn how to go at it the right way. Basically, you ALWAYS want to attack him from behind. Get a few good hits in while two handing your weapon, and throw enchant/light weapon/sticky white stuff on it if you can. I’ve found it’s way easier to fight him melee than ranged. Always hit him from behind 2-4 times (depending on your weapon… maybe even once if you’re a Meat Clever guy like me!) and get the heck out of there! After that, just be patient and get behind him again. Take your time on this guy, no need to rush him. He’ll still go down pretty fast. I killed him with about 10 or so blows in NG+ with the Meat Cleaver.

As for the 1-4 dragon, you have to first run past where his fire will hit you, and from there there’s a nice spot just outside of harms way where you can lock onto him with you bow and pelt him to death. You can only kill him with range anyways. Very lame, I know.

Ghab, you were right about that one last miracle. I need to kill a Primeval demon first, but since I need to make most of my world’s PBWT to kill the Black Phantom versions of certain characters for their weapons, that should be no problem.

I gotta get a Pure Darkmoonstone from one of the two Crystal Gecko’s in the area where Storm King is, then I have to make world 4 PBWT so I can start getting some Chunk’s/Pure Bladestone’s. I have every other type of ore to fully upgrade the weapons I need for trophies, except those.

I have to get my character tendency to Pure White. Though I didn’t do anything evil on this NG++ and am at the False King, my Character Tendency is anything but Pure White. I’m guessing killing the Maiden in Black really affected it, because when I got into NG++ some of my World’s were PWWT from the previous game. So, hopefully, I’ll gain a lot of Pure White character tendency for letting her live this time. How do you guys raise your character tendency to pure white? I rescued people throughout the game and killed all the bosses and it barely seemed to get affected. Friend’s Ring is the last ring I need.

i killed the old hero with no problem finally! i also free’d biorr and yuria. tonight i’m going to try and finish up the boletaria world

and i cannot beat the blue dragon…

Get just inside the range of its fire and lock onto its head, then fire arrows into its face until it dies. The camera angle will probably be really goofy so time your shots by the sound of its attacks.

I didn’t even need to time it, hardest part was running through the fire (didn’t think about water veil though), though I got through it on the second try. I just sat under it and fired away whiled locked on, surfed the net while tapping R1 and waited til I heard him scream. didn’t take too many arrows either, though I did have a sticky compound long bow + 5 and 30 dex

How do you guys raise your character tendency to pure white? So far I know that named Black Phantoms like Selen and Scirvir can help, and possibly Bosses and Primeval demons. Have you guys had your CT increase by killing bosses and Primeval demons?

Anyone have any Chunks of Cloudstone, Shards/Chunks of Marrowstone or a Pure Darkmoonstone? I can trade any type of Chunks/Pure/Shards outside of those 3.

i killed no primeval demons and still got PW character tendency so i do not think it is necessary. ALL named black phantoms help. just look up every named black phantom and where to find them.

i also think it will help shift it to pure white if you kill yurt in the nexus, but im not 100% on that…

Easiest way to shift to white is basically let people invade your game, and kill them. Or just help other people, and let people invade them, and kill Black Phantoms. You could easily get Pure white CT in less than 20 mins based on your level range.

Offline is harder because I’m pretty sure the only way to do it is by killing the named Black Phantoms.

Alright. I already killed Garland and Scirvir, about to kill Selen, Miralda and the guy in 3-1. I just need the Friends Ring for the gold trophy, and to kill Astrea for all the spells. Im about to go make all the unique weapons I`m missing, I have everything I need. Shifting my CT back to Pure White seems to be hardest thing to do, next to getting a few materials for the bronze trophy weapons.

Yeah Vocab, youre right as well. I think Im right below SLvl 200, I found a place where I can make over a 150K souls in two minutes. After I kill some more named BPs Ill either finish this NG++ by killing the false king and seeing if the good ending will help my CT or hop online and laying down some blue text.

Sup, been playing this game all week I got a bunch of characters that are different classes and different soul levels.

I really enjoy this game, but in terms of PVP it’s not very rewarding. There are tiers for this game and I put mage/royal at the top. Why? I have a Dragon Bone Smasher, +4 Claymore, +8 Purple Flame Shield, and it doesn’t matter. They cast warding, then they just shoot soul rays at me or firestorm and I’m dead in 3 - 4 hits. I can roll past the soul rays no problem, but as soon as I land a hit and they warding on they cast firestorm. Even if I get close enough to hit them warding destroys any of my attack power. Any player who is not a mage I can totally take on, but any mage player can easily whoop me. It terms of offline mode I made a mage and literally killed all the first stage bosses within 2 hours and they almost never touched me.

The online co-op is still great and the game is superb. I really enjoy it except for the obvious Sagat level priorities of mages.

Anti-Magic Field > Mage…

R2 attack with that sword=people knocked on their asses, then you can switch to a faster weapon and proceed to destroy them. I prefer the one weapon from the Adjudicator’s soul, the stat increase is sick, double S and an A. I think the DBS increases in stat gain more once you upgrade it with Colorless demon souls, though.

I need to use that one spell more…God’s revenge or something? It has a knockdown affect, so after that I run up to them and attack them with a swift weapon.

I plat trophied this game a few days ago, and am just now really starting to mess with the online. Killing Black Phantom’s is how I got my character to PWCT. I kind of want to start invading more and playing smart. You can bait enemies onto people, and use those Soul Remains to help you bait. So sick.

I like when black phantoms invade and I hide behind a wall and they run right past me and I stab them in the back. They’re pretty much done for after that.

I want to train PVP a bit… you can add me and we can play.

What do the soul remains actually do in PvP, or even in general for that matter? I’ve thrown them down before, but never noticed anything.

Enemies are attracted to it. Or at least the skeleton-type enemies are, I only messed around with it briefly.
