I wouldn’t mind, but I’m actually gonna let a friend borrow the game once I beat it, So who knows when I’ll get it back :crybaby:
ok, I’ll just pump my magic for now, because it help my spells and my moon winged spear. and yeah I’m trying to do as much as I can before I beat it tonight.
EDIT:
False King is owning me, bastard took 2 soul levels from me
finally beat False King, I ended up 4 levels lower than when I started oh well. Not sure if I should just finish the game before I let my friend borrow it, or if I should hold off and when he gives it back I can farm more
^ You should try to get as many one-time items as you can. It’s way easier to farm in New Game+, 4-1 and 4-2 can net you a lot of easy souls, and when you can get there 5-4 makes me about 50-60K souls a run with Ring of Avarice. Killing the 3 Red Knights before the Penetrator Boss, then killing everything up to where the Blue Dragon is including the two officials.
I got PWCT last night, got the Dragon Bone Crusher and crafted some nice weapons, though I usually stick with my Kilij for its speed and low use of stamina. I do use the Regailia weapon sometimes, the one you make from Demonbrand+Soulbrand. It’s fun to use and does great damage, but it sucks that it gets no bonuses outside of character tendency.
Yes you can kill him, but he is buff as hell. The easy thing about the fight is he won’t chase you that far out of the blood swamp. You can hit him with magic, draw him to the land get off your combo and run up the hill to safety. It took me a little while, but I did it.
Not true, I killed her from the perch with arrows, then I went around to the other side and he was standing in front of the archstone and I had to fight him to get to it.
warding is what got me through that fight, and lots of old spices. Especially since I have yet to put a single point into my vitality, and only 1 point into endurance.
it’s true, after you kill her go into the menu and quit the game. when you reload it, he is dead and you can loot his body.
That’s not what he asked. He said can you kill him after beating Astrea?, I said yes which you can kill him.
I said not true that he commits suicide after killing Astrea, so you can’t fight him.
Now if you die after killing her or leave the zone, that is a whole other thing.
i live in the uk and i am waiting for my import copy of demon’s souls to arrive (i bought it from www.videogamesplus.ca for any of you europeans who want an idea where to buy it from).
now a lot has been said about the difficulty in this game. from looking at the videos it just seems the thing that makes the game hard is that some enemies are one hit kills, with no checkpoints. other than that, the combat seems very similar to zelda.
the hardest game i have ever played is contra 3 (also known as probotector) without using the continues cheat. plus i played turtles on the nes (the one with the swimming mission) when i was like 8 years old. if i don’t mind playing games of that difficulty, is demon souls going to be fine for me? or is even harder than the games i’ve mentioned? i know these are not similar games…i am just looking to get an idea.
sorry if this question has been sorta answered. i haven’t read this thread due to not wanting to be spoiled.
Most of the game can be conquered easily once you figure out the attack patterns and weaknesses of the different enemy types, as well as their positions since they always spawn in the same places. The hard part is figuring all that out, but once you do it’s just a matter of proper preparation and playing smart. Reflexes and execution can help, but they aren’t nearly as important as in many other “hard” games.
