I think spears are too good, you can attack while blocking. Not just that the 2 handed attack with R2-x2 is like death. I owned everyone with just a +8 short spear and some magic power ups, beat the game in like 1 day

my weapon was a crescent flacion +5

Just finished the game. I missed every World Tendency event, and the Old King. New Game+ was pretty fun, until Tower Knight killed me in one hit!

So, does anyone have the Plat other than HeaT or is going for it? World Tendecy+the fact the game needs to be cleared multiple times for the boss Demon’s Souls to acquire everything seems annoying.

I have waaaaaay too many games to play for me to get good at SF4.

Maybe there will be a lull around SSF4’s release.

I’m at the end, just have to finish 1-4 and I’m done. If it wasn’t for school I might have already beaten this game, just trying to farm more ores (I don’t know where to get pure moonlight stone and hardstone is just not dropping for me) and probably gonna try the WT events before I beat it because I don’t wanna mess with PBWT on a new game+

i think i was at 145, approximately somewhere around there…

also you dont need to fight the blue dragon for any purpose in the game (other than souls), you can just run past it.

But I bet dollars to doughnuts that it gives you an awesome unique type soul that can be made into something by one of the NPCs, am I right? :lovin:

^ Yep. Plus you get a trophy. I used like 500 arrows to kill that bastard. Btw, if you beat 1-3, then you can beat any other boss in the entire game. Him and the False King are imo the hardest bosses in the game, until you learn to roll around their attacks and heal at the right times.

I was SL 80ish when I beat the game. I need to check my total time played, though. I think it’s under 50 hours, but I’m not sure. I used a Kilij throughout the whole game, low weight and awesome damage.

1-3 was about on par with Phalanx when I did him.

It was one of the bosses I never died on (1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 1-3 - fuck you, D-god and T-knight)

ya my 2nd time though was like 8 hours, 1st time i beat the game i had no idea what I was doing. 2nd time you go though the game you know were everything is, and every bosses weakness, its not that hard cept maybe for new game +. I still like spears the best but what ever.

im guessing you used magic for the underground world, cause slash attacks do nothing Vs. those cave guys

like i said it cant be used for anything but souls, no NPC will use it for forging or magic. its the same thing with the red dragon.

no just my sword it owns them in 1 hit, but i think my sword has magic properties cause its crescent.

I’m on NG+ going after the weapon trophies on my way to the platinum.

so yesterday i woke up and decided i wasn’t going to dick around with this game anymore and really try hard. made a temple knight… beat phalanx got the purple shield and owned the spider then the adjudicator… and i’ve only died twice. i’m really liking melee more than magic.

Yeah, you have to find the style that works for you. Me I prefer ranged attacks, melee fucks me up some time. I some time freeze up when they pin me up against a wall.

Well I killed the Blue Dragon(arrows from under him) and old king Doran(poison cloud + arrows).

Been leveling a bit for no real reason. Got my states kinda even, or at least my dex, mag, and faith are all 30. my int is 26, and I just got my luck to 18 so I can use the Blueblood sword.

I tried it out after hearing about it, and it did about 50 less damage than my moon winged spear +4.

So if I got my luck up to 30, would the damage be better? just curious if I should bother getting the extra 12 levels before I beat the game.

I didn’t kill Doran on my first playthrough. In NG+ I’ve cleared up to the False King and finished all of levels 2 and 4. My +10 Kilij is destroying everything. I got Makoto, but have yet to get any other World Tendancies. Bastos, when you start your NG+ you want to go through it together? It’d be easier to get PWWT and such.

Boss 1-3 was the most fun boss fight in NG+ he’s fucking relentless.

You should put those levels into another stat that would be useful for multiple weapon types. Strength, dexterity, or magic are all much better choices in the long run.

If you’re planning on doing new game+ you should do as much stuff as you can before you beat the game. It gets significantly harder the second time around. One thing you can do is get pure black on all worlds and then kill the black phantoms and primordial demons to get one level below pure white. This way you will be able to get the pure white events after beating just one boss in new game +. You could also farm a few ephemeral eyes in 5-1, it’s one of the easiest “rare” things to farm in the whole game.

Is it possible to kill Vinland when fighting Astrea? He killed me in two hits when I attacked him after killing Astrea. Went back and he disappeared.

I finished the game in 33 hours with S lvl 81. I gotta look up what some of the best weapons to craft are, I JUST found out I have to hand Ed Flamelurker’s Soul before I can craft God tier weapons. Yes, this is after almost going through the game two times.
