Is that the place you reach from Dragelic Castle? I saw a path earlier there while exploring that lead to a pit of acid sludge, so I didn’t check it out.

In the room after the bonfire where there’s stone statues and 2 giant golems… are both of the giant golems suppose to turn and light up the room? How do you get the left one to turn on? Only got one of them after clearing the room.
I dont think the one of the left does anything
dsp did a playthrough still bad but not as bad as dark souls or demon souls

you have to kill enemies near the golems in order to activate them. When an enemy dies near them they will absorb the souls and activate.
Joined the Brotherhood of Blood and have been doing dueling to get more Cracked Red Eye Orbs, it’s a lot of fun. Poison/Bleed is really good for pressuring the opponent and the comment about footies really reminded me to just, once again, be brave and rush people down. People tend to just want to roll away from danger, but if you read that shit you can punish, and adding statuses on top of that, it really makes people nervous

Final boss was nothing special. The tradition continues. Vendrick and the Ancient dragon are on some real final boss shit though.
So, I had a friend over who was completely ignorant of the world of Dark Souls. He was watching me play like, “this looks easy.” I’m like “no, I’ve been playing this series for years so I just make it seem that way.” Then he says “this is easy, give me the controller.” Of course, I said fuck you, I’m not losing souls and wasting an effigy because you wanna be all “dude, hold my beer.”
Anyway, I went to the rat place to show him how multiplayer works and how bullshit the game can be. First summon, I got stun locked by a guy with a rapier… Don’t know what the fuck happened there… Second summon, I called it that the guy was going to be waiting right around the corner to ambush me. I was right. He tried to turtle behind a great shield, so it was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the guardbreak mechanic. Soooo good. Third summon, I got rat raped.
Next, I go to the Iron Keep to farm the enemies there. This guy wants me to run in and fight a bunch of shit at once, and he wouldn’t understand why I played the way I did. I even ventured farther than I’d never been just to show him why I’m so cautious. Like, I bet that if I did X there’d be an enemy at Y to fuck me up my Z. Predicted like 3 different bullshit ambushes and traps.
Many laughs were had. I didn’t think it would be so fun demonstrating how fucked up Dark Souls could be 
.
There is beauty in teaching someone about Dark Souls. I remember my first lesson like it was yesterday. Hijinks in the Undead Parish on a friend’s throwaway build. I knew the game was equities when I got invaded and he didn’t tell me what was going down.

Does everyone else like to drop down summon signs in new areas and get a test drive before doing it in your own world? I love the co-op in this one and being able to do that is just a blast.Can anyone tell me does using a soul vessel to respec reset you to what your classes starting stats were, or is there a universal base that it sets you to?

Also my internet was down for a bit and, you know, playing Souls offline, is the single most lonely experience you’ll ever have in a game. You can really feel how heavy the atmosphere is when you can’t see other people struggling along with you.

Man fuck “the traitor” I just fought this bitch for like 20 minutes straight until my uchigatana went from full durability to broken. I can’t stop her from instantly healing back to full because I run out of fucking stamina. Why the fuck did From give her infinite miracles? Bitch is tougher than Lautrec
So where is the key in The Asylum for the Rusted Ring? I assume it’s behind this gate on the second floor as it’s the only area I haven’t been able to get through cuz the gate is locked. I can see the item on the damn corpse on the stairs but of course they are broken.

That was The Strange Doll…the item in my cell? I even beat the Demon in the basement (Thanks for the warning about the floor!!! :mad: ) but he just gave me a Titan Slab and 20k in Souls (dope).
The key to open that gate is somewhere completely different, I honestly can’t remember where it is at all, might want to just look that one up, it’ll take way too long to just try to find it.
It’s easy to get lost when because all the walkways and ladders look the same and it’s a really big area. but when you die enough in it you’ll get the lay of the land…until well nevermind. Hope you ain’t reading any guides or letting people tell you about stuff in advance lol. Blight town was really annoying to me for the poison dart dudes, but once you stock up on moss from the forest it’s not a big deal and it’s actually one of the best parts of DS.
Still need to find a key to unlock the door in the giant water place with all those mage bitches. I hate those bitches more then anything
