I sorta like the egg-burdened set’s look but aside from that… meh

The 2 swords and shields to the top left look really badass, the piss and shit and bondage covered ones not so much.
I’m more interested in the locations they mention in the description. The Undead Purgatory and Black Gulch sound very intriguing.
Dark Chasm of Old= Tomb of Giants?
Black Gulch=Valley of Defilement?
Iron Keep=uh…maybe…Sen’s Fortress?
Undead Purgatory= Undead Asylum?
Aldia’s Keep=Tower of Latria?
Just places that came to mind when I hear those names. I really, almost more than anything else in this entire game, want there to be another Valley of Defilement-like area. That is my most anticipated moment of DSII. I could go on and on about all the things that made me love VOD, and if they implement another similar area (as has been tradition so far) then it needs to be even more disgusting and more repulsive.
And more hard.

So pissed that my pc version needs GFWL to work. Asking for the cd key which i give and now it’s saying the key was registered with another live account. Argh all i want is too play death! Might need to go to the black market and get a cd key some how again :(.
Dark Souls II is rated T for Teen.
I’ve got a bad feeling about this.
Not sure what to think of this. As long as the world feels like a “souls” game I’m fine with it. If they want to remove the blood effect when backstabbing and put tops on the bare chested women I don’t think it’s gonna effect too much in terms of atmosphere. I’m actually trying to think of portions of the first 2 games that actually warranted the M rating, unless I’m completely forgetting obvious ones.
I hope the IGN guy is wrong and that life gems aren’t as effective as he claims. Having access to too much health in DS2 would mar much of the sense of accomplishment that the game hinges on.
If they work the same way they did in the beta then they’re really not that bad.
Take anything IGN says with a big heaping grain of salt. They are biased against anything that isn’t COD.
Dark Souls being T is fine because it’s not about over the top gore horror. It’s about feeling helpless/weak.
It’s more about a spooky atmosphere and the threat that any enemy could kill you (until you git gud).
Also people who think that healing will be OP needs to recheck DeS, grass was everywhere and pvp with grass was worse than pvp with estus.
I also trust the word of vaati over IGN any day and when he says DaS2 is the best souls game I feel very very good about being excited.
I honestly thought the original Dark Souls should’ve been T rated in the first place, the game doesn’t have nearly as much mature content as a lot of other M rated games I see imo.
My SL1 run is going great. I got +5 fire club, +5 fire light crossbow, +4 ascended flame, +5 divine club, time to clear out sens (don’t even need anymore green titanite so I’ll just be shopping for large shards to get some armour upgrades)
How are you chaps gearing up for DaS2? I’ve decided that I’m going to buy two copies, one for ps3 (dat day 1 action) and one for pc (dat 60 fps goodness).
Preordered the collectors edition and the guide. I know it’s all mostly useless, but there is so little in the way of Souls collectibles I figured I’d take what I could get. I also put in for an extra vacation day that Wednesday so I have two uninterrupted days to play it.
Currently doing yet another DS1 run to pass the time.
