If you want a strong PVE build just go sorcery and watch how everything dies before you.
I started over on PC (dsfix with frame unlock, and HD texture mods) and I got back to where I was in Anor Londo in like 1/4 of the time…
I haven’t killed two bosses that I killed in my other file, but fuck em. I might go get the butterfly, but idk. I’ll be back to stressing out about Smaug and Orenstien in no time :yay:
Got Demon’s Souls from PS+ t’other day and I hate myself for not playing it sooner. I was a bit bummed to learn that Dark Souls 2 comes out next year but at least now I have time to play through Dark Souls.

I read somewhere that the Pyromancer beats out the Sorcerer long term. Another guy was like the Sorcerer is the worse starting class in the game, but he can still become quite powerful.
Sorcery is stronger pve, but you have to be a fulltime mage to 2-5 shot bosses.
Pyromancy you can tack it on with any build and it’ll be fantastic.

Ive been playing th crap out of Dark Souls. I play a theif. I dont even know what the fuck is up but im having fun fighting shit. I like this one more than demons souls, even though they’re very similar. I think ive made some progress but I cant really be sure. Killed me a few demons and shit.
Yup.
Started the game, killed the merchant for the Uchigatana, then ran all the way to pick up the shadow set. After that, I started playing normally.
What im limited to is the shadow set, Katana’s, Ultra Greatswords, War Hammers, Claw, Bow, and Scythe.
No shields, no magic, no miracles. Although im debating pyromancy since Ryu does use pyro attacks.

Upgrading a sword 'n board/ lit spear 'n board Knight, to a fire Iato/lit Uchi Kensai, is ridiculously fun times.
Lol not even 3 hours in and already guys are kicking my ass and there’s nothing I can do. I died on the first boss, I see where this game is headed.
You know what I hate? You are trying to fight one guy then another guy runs up you and gets his licks in. You are concentrating on that one guy so it’s hard when two of them are surrounding you fuck that shit man. Then one area it’s like three of them all at once, they are easy to block but it’s hard coming away untouched–it’s like they’re gonna fucking hit you so might as well do your best. I should of saved my bombs, I think I have only one left 
I reached the second boss but I died again, all those wasted souls fuck man. Why are those fucking archers helping him–fight me one on one damnit. It’s like that goddamn tower knight hiding behind the archers so when I attack I get hit with an arrow, then the boss knocks me down.
I probably should picked the knight, at least for the defense. Everything that touches me it takes so much health, why so much health blahhh…
You can kill the archers by using the ladder to the right of the entrance before you trigger the boss. Afterwards, trigger the boss, run all the way back, climb the ladder, and do a plunging attack for 35-40% damage.
Never would of thought of that. I just rush in blindfolded, I need to check out my surroundings before entering fogs.
But anyway, I got tired of dying so I just looked up some guide where I can get all the best shit early. Pretty helpful, I got two armor sets and that badass Uchi sword (I kinda feel bad fucking up that dudes day in all). I also got some other weapons at the price of dying so…many…times. I can’t count how many times I died, the game has ToD all over the place I can’t fight so I just run.
Actually, I don’t think I supposed to be here yet. This one dude had big ass sword instant death lol, and what’s with the trees goddamn they’re all over the place. One of those bastards grabbed me and the others just raped my corpse fuck that noise. I got lost in that forest, I have no idea where I’m going but I met some dude Andre. I don’t think I’m supposed to be here yet. I killed the other guy so I better at least keep one of them alive. There’s a giant monster near andre but I ain’t fucking with that thing.
I made it back to undead burg, the first camp site. Thank god. I think I’m strong enough to take out that boss with the archers now.

After you take that boss out, try and get you stats (dex & str) to where you can at least two-hand a bow.
Because there is a major ahem “detail” coming up, that will give you a massive boost if you are melee.
Man, I finally cleared out that forest with the ent like dudes. I think I did at least. Im gonna try to fight the big moth again.
I get away with some major bullshit with a bow. Ive killed just about every demon and like those mini bosses (that ive come across) with that shit. Its slow as fuck but I never even take damage. The last demin was a bit of a pain. He had these two dogs with him and those fuckers kept getting me killed. You know, block my path and shit. Dealt with those bastards then got on little ledge and shot the dude to death.
I also took out thos two gargoyles. I finally realized how to get back my humanity and I was able to summon two npc dudes to help me. Fight was cake like that.
There’s an NPC you can summon at the bottom of the steps leading to the butterfly. You have to be in human form, btw.
There is a bonfire closer to the butterfly if you can find it oOoOoOo.
edit: closer than the blacksmith. maybe you already found it… It took me til my second play through to find it
Back at Shit Ledge tm. Going to go shlog through the catacombs to get the ring of fog so I don’t have to deal with those bastards on the ledge in Anor Londo…

I had a plan for the moth fight…sumoning some other dude could change that and save me some souls.
You must mean the dragon yeah I got the drake sword already but it broke, the Uchi sword broke, the axe broke, I have no other weapons but the wing spear lol. That’s how many times I died. Where is the fix it guy? I need to kill the dragon but I don’t have nothing to kill it with, and if I get close he just burns my character. I did manage to kill that fucking wild boar though hahahaha die!
I don’t think this game is easier than Demon Souls. Demon Souls was bad, but this game is ridiculous lol ToD out the gate–you got guys taking half life one stab. A rat pushed my character off the cliff I mean come on how is that possible? There should be a vendor where you can stock up and potions if guys are going to take so much health.
