Demon's/Dark Souls Thread. Dark Souls II!

i dont think people should be getting worried about the whole thing about making the game more “understandable”, since this could simply equate to the features being explained better in the game and not about changing the atmosphere etc of the game. there is a lot of stuff in dark souls that never gets explained and is basically down to just trial and error or reading up on guides online. shit i didnt even realise dual wielding basically increases your strength value until recently. the different online modes arent explained at all either.

im not too worried at this point since we havent seen anything other than a CG trailer atm (which almost never represent system mechanics or actual gameplay.)

maybe when i see gameplay videos showing bosses killed using QTEs and things like that ill be worried.

also if they were to implement an easy mode into the game they should make it similar to easy modes in certain games that would only allow play up to a certain point in the game (Viewtiful joe did this, as have other games that i cant recall atm) and only really serve as a primer for the actual game, while explaining the way the game works in more depth perhaps with tutorials on importance of upgrading weapons and things like that.

QTEs in a Souls game is unimaginable.

Oh, wow…feels time.

So I went to go and do the Sif fight. It starts out normal and all that…but towards the end you can start to see him getting weaker. He actually starts limping, and his swings become lazy and fatigued…that didn’t happen on my first playthrough.

I felt so bad when it started limping though. I came into ITS home and just killed it… :frowning:

Gwyndolin is the son of Gwynevere, big tits mcgee. He was shunned like a fag in the 50’s because his affinity for MoonLight power was too fruity for the family of flame/sun shit.

The actual son of Gwyn was supposed to be Andre the blacksmith but that was scrapped in development of the game. The broken statue at Sunlight Altar is supposedly a sculpt of Gwyn’s son which explains why it was destroyed since he fell out of favor with Gwyn & Co. Some people claim that during the O & S fight the missing statue next to Gwyn is there just invisible, hitting it with arrows or firebombs/fireballs show an immovable hitbox of the Sunlight Altar sculpt. Apparently after the fight it’s erased completely. ENB probably mentioned that in one of the lore videos.

Wait where is it said Gwyndolin is Gwynevere’s son? Man, I really wanna learn more about Gywndolin and Gwynevere, the stuff we do know is interesting.

Gwyndolin is Gwyn’s last born. This can be confirmed from the item description of the Darkmoon Seance Ring.

EDIT: *"This ring is granted to adherents of Gwyndolin, Darkmoon deity and last born of Gwyn, Lord of Sunlight. *Grants additional magic attunement slots. The Dark Sun Gwyndolin is the only remaining deity in Anor Londo."

So unless Gwyn was funky with his own daughter, then no, Gwyndolin is not Gwynevere’s son.

Didn’t he have two sons?

Gwyndolin is one of them.

Solaire is the other, imo.

He went chasing his own sun…

I never said Gwyndolin was his son. He had two children. Possibly 3.

The first born is unknown. Said to be Solaire because he’s badass.
Gwynevere is his Daughter
Gwyndolin is his last born with the power of moon or some shit so he was raised as a daughter.

Artorias broken arm

Spoiler

it’s most likely broken because he ditched his shield to protect baby sif from the abyss, so he went off to fight Anus of the Abyss without it.

You know I feel bad for Ceaseless discharge. He was just guarding his sisters grave and then some perverted asshole took her clothes off and he got killed for chasing the dude.

I mean imagine if he could talk.

“Yo welcome to Ceaseless Discharge’s spa and resort. We got more glowing orange shit than swimming in lake filled with radio active Sunny D. Speaking of which what are you doing with my sis’ gr-//- OH HELL NAW”

Ah shit I guess I blurred my memory there.

EDIT: Ceaseless Discharge almost made me fucking cry when I realized what I had done to him. He attacks you because that body you took the gold hemmed set from was his sister, his entire life since he turned into monster is in constant pain from the spewing lava from his back, the only thing giving any sort of comfort is being able to see his sister’s final resting place.

Then I hurr durr my way there and take her clothes. Fucking desecrated her open grave of sorts.

That makes him all the more sympathetic.

And tragic.

As far as tragedy goes, I think the Chaos servant has it pretty bad. She’s blind, suffering a shit load of pain from bearing babies all day, all because she helped egg bro.

When you equip the old witch’s ring and talk to her, she thinks you’re Qualaag. You basically killed her sister.

Anyways the things she says just choke up man tears. Even worse if you wore a old witch ring and killed her for that NG+ estus

I think Solaire has the saddest ending ever if you save him.

Siegmeyer’s story was a big bummer too.

I hope they keep that bleak setting in 2.

Honestly I felt like a dick killing anything not named Havel, Seath, or Gwyn. Feel extra crappy killing Pric to get that dagger of hers.

And sucked the pus out of every inhabitant of Blighttown to heal them no doubt. What a kind-hearted person. Yet she’s all alone now. BECAUSE OF ALL OF YOU.

My post was in response to de BLOO’s.

Fucking Havel man, whenever I make a new character and I summon someone at the burg I like to surprise them and make us fight Havel with the Master Key.

Some dude messaged me after he ate Dragon Tooth, fucking madder than hell, “You know how fucking rare it is to get summoned these days? And you pull this shit! Fuck You Faggot.”

Also that fat dude with the bowl cut that sells miracles at the start is a dick. Like Lautrec/Patches levels of douchebaggery in a subtle way.

edit
Speaking of Patches, If I wonder if he’s going to use the next level of yomi in Dark souls II. Like he’ll tell you to look down this cliff and you naturally think “fuck no, this nigga going to kick me down, I’m going to look around” then he pulls a trap door on you into a worse place.

Yea. You wont know about petrus unless you let Lautrec free himself unfortunately.
Killing most of the characters in Dark Souls makes you feel sad after you learn more about them.
