O & S on second play through was the only fight I summoned for.

Same, but I made up for it by beating them in the SL1 playthrough. At some point there’s no choice anymore but to go naked and roll for your life, since everything 1HKOs you anyway, regardless of equipment. Hopefully this week I’ll have the time to beat Kalameet.
Yeah, I know killing the dragon is optional, it’s a challenge to dodge the breath without Biorr as a distraction. I completely forgot that the Stormruler has a new attack for that fight, I’ve used it before in PvP, but I didn’t use it to beat the boss as I had a ton of Dexterity so I just shot it out of the sky with light arrows.
O&S were stupidly hard on NG+, I got them first time in regular game but I had phantom help, so it kind of didn’t count (though the phantom died when Smough dropped so I was left fighting powered up Ornstein solo). I still haven’t cut Seath’s tail.
Hardest fight for me was probably the Centipede demon first time I attempted that. I died a few times trying to kill the Stray Demon as well before I abused bleed weapons. NG+ I practically killed the thing with a single stamina bar using the Lifehunt Scythe…
Oh and that big ass mother fucking Dragon in the expansion on NG+, god that fight is a grind.
I got Seath’s tail the first time after he curse bit me to death.
He is mad easy if you are cursed.

Never tried fighting him cursed. I haven’t got his tail either, I mean, it’s a pretty fraudulent Moonlight Sword when you can block it, but I’ll still get it for the achievement eventually, I still have boss soul weapons to go as I haven’t beat the game 3 times yet.
If anyone hasn’t tried using the Dragonslayer Spear it’s definitely my favourite weapon, ratios are really good so the damage is nuts and it has some interesting unique moves for a spear. I like playing a tankier sort of build as well so I love that I can just block all day while dealing damage with the thing.
Mines is probably the Balder Side sword. Can’t get enough of the 1 hand R2 poke.
•Has range comparable to a spear
•Benefits from counter hits similar to rapiers and spears and gains monster damage when that situation arises.
•If you break your opponents poise with the first hit, the 2nd R2 combos off the first and tracks, even without lock on.
•Difficult to parry at max range, much like a spear.
That’s just the R2. The other attacks are pretty solid as well and is great 1 handed or 2 handed. Good for pve and pvp. Seriously a must have Dex weapon.
I think the thing that makes the Dragonslayer so good for me is the ratios, C / B / - / B with Physical damage and Lightning scaling off Faith, the rolling two handed attack is incredible, and the slow charge up (second R2) attack knocks them absolutely flying, it’s easy to bait with it, particularly with the spears range. It has a faith based projectile (single handed r2) which is really decent as well, it’s overall a really underused weapon.
I want that.

Do NOT run in mashing R1/RB
Don’t take on too many enemies at once
Choose your battles wisely
Take it slow, don’t rush until you get the hang of things
Study the enemies, learn their patterns
If it looks like a trap, it probably is
