Well at least you’re not trying to cut his tail solo. Now that’s a bitch. If you happen to run a int build however… IT’S WORTH IT.
Wouldn’t be a bad idea to wear curse resistant gear if you have problems with that. I think paladin armor has good curse resistance.
*also Curses in general got nerfed a long while ago. Standing in basilisk fog used to fill up the gauge pretty damn fast. It was even possible to get cursed while you’re cursed.
The most annoying area I’ve gone through, suprisingly, is still Blighttown. Everyone said ToTG’s would be the hardest but honestly it wasn’t really that much of a hassle for me. One of the easier areas, actually.
Blighttown and Anal Londo are my least favorite areas.
Yeah they nailed the relationship between videogames, “story” and “lore” just right.
Lore- Small, optional nuggets of info on the side. Story- Your personal adventure; Something you CREATE by playing the game, not by watching long ass cutscenes or reading countless lines of dialogue. Amazing that this game somehow came out of the land of the “JRPG”, eh?
ToTG was honestly a lot smaller and easier than I thought it would be. The only hard thing about it was the cliff edges EVERYWHERE and the pitch black darkness.
Also did anyone else notice that when you use the Skull Lantern there the wall like, lights up with blue orbs and shit? What’s that all about?
Oh word of advice if you land up in the Painted World.
Once you hit the end, the boss fight that is, you don’t HAVE to fight her, you can jump off the ledge and exit the level. That is the only way to get out and if you start the boss fight, you need to finish it, so be wary if you start the fight. She’s a bitch by the way, turns invisible, there are a couple of tricks (throwing knives) to break her stealth but the standard way to fight her is just to put your back to the exit so she has to walk towards you, you can see her footprints in the snow and just block with a decent shield before attempting to stagger her. If you break her poise, she’ll become visible and she doesn’t have tons of life, just be careful about bleeding out when you fight her, it’s 50% life if she hits max bleed.
wow there are some real dickheads in the PvP side of things. just finished messing around in the top area of darkroot garden with that cat ring thing, and had some dickweeds messaging me calling me a pussy and that i should learn to play because they killed my SL1 character 2 v 1. apparently the guy was older than 16 as well which i find hard to believe. you know youve got a sad fucking life when you spout childish abuse to people who you kill on an online game.
Which one? I remember Nito being a fair way from the bonfire with some tough stuff before him but I found him embarrassingly easy by the time I got around to fighting him. The trick for the particular fight is just to use a divine weapon to kill the skeletons quickly at the start and then circle strafe him, he’s pretty easy to deal with when you don’t have respawning adds.
Four Kings were a bitch on NG+ as well, my build kind of countered their style so I got them first attempt in a regular game solo, no witch NPC or anything, but without the same level of damage and them hitting harder they were really challenging in NG+, even with the NPC, and they are a fair way from a bonfire.
Probably the same reason why the developer implied that the pendant has a use in a early interview; to specifically fuck with you.
Also for the first time I tried out the dagger in Demon souls. I didn’t expect the animations to be so different, yet so fucking awesome looking.
Dark souls R1 dagger combos looks like a women was swinging it in comparison. The only thing that the Demon souls daggers swing animation is missing… is Taskmaster sound bites.
The dagger is also… viable, oddly enough. The Bandit’s Knife has the highest regular bleed and is somewhat decent and Priscilla’s Dagger is just batshit insane, I mean it has an S dex ratio, occult damage and 50% bleed - out, that is some scary shit in PvP.
