Demon's/Dark Souls Thread. Dark Souls II!

I have 40 vitality and 40 endurance, I don’t use wrath of god, I use great lightning spear or whatever it is, Sunlight eventually, leveling Faith whenever I bother to get on.

Just now, your build just reminded me of a similar PVE build.

Using a Ricard’s rapier +15, Sunlight Blade buff, and power within. Then using the multipokes off of ricards to do absurd amounts of damage to bosses per poke.

With that much dex and just the right amount of faith for sunlight blade, you can make a lot of different weapons that’ll do insane damage once buffed.

Whats the best build for a Faith Build and if I plan on turning the Whip Divine or Fire? Wanna go Belmont on everything.

Using only the whip? Or you plan on using offensive spells too?

Here you go.

14 ATT for three spell slots, you can put 16 if you want four.
20 STR so you can use Obsidian Greatsword if you choose to in the future. Fairly certain most if not all DEX based weapons have a max STR req of 20.
40 DEX for damage and +15 weapons that you can enchant.
30 FAI for Darkmoon Blade enchant. No other miracles above 30 are worth using unless you want style and use Sunlight Spear; in which case you’ll need 50.

I don’t even use the Blade buff, I just poke the shit out of them with the spear, hits hard enough with it’s ratios (C / B / - / B), Faith goes directly to lightning damage, the other two go to physical.

I beat Demon’s Souls on NG+ with a very similar build, it’s kind of a dragoon style, not a heavy phalanx of a tank but a mix of mobility and survival with tons of resistance whittling something down with reach and harassment.

So how exactly do you kill the Darkroot Basin Hyrda? Because I walked up to it and fell through the water just now…

Hug the wall with the rocks, to your right. Have a good shield and wait for it to lunge all it’s heads at you. Then attack one of them at a time. Usually the last 1 or two heads become out of reach, so stock up on arrows/bolts and shoot the motherfucker til he falls. Damage gets higher if you hit one of his open neck wounds with the arrows/bolts. You can seriously just start takin pot shots all day while he lunges because his 1 two heads will keep missing you.

In Ash Lake his moveset changes and he starts flying across the body of land when you get too far away.

I’m doing a new character with the Balder Shield and Balder Side Sword because ENB(popular Dark/Demons Soul youtube channel) said they were great, they’re bomb as fuck. It’s going to be my first time playing the DLC too. I hear Kalameet is fun as fuck

just started doing a SL1 playthrough. so far the hardest bit was killing the damn capra demon to get the key for the depths so i could start upgrading my pyromancy. would have been a lot easier if it wasnt for those damn dogs that just rush at you the whole time. Killing the belltower gargoyles in only 6 hits (for both of them) was funny as fuck though.

anybody else done a SL1 character have any tips for me?

Tread carefully, and carry a big stick.

So is there any kind of treasure in the Nito Boss room?

I’m talking 2-4k+ or so damage on a R2. *depending if you land all the hits and boss resistances. All in all retarded damage.

Not necessary on mobs, and any of the pokes could be parried so it’s not all too practical on pvp.

You have to fight Paladin Leeroy before getting there, meaning you have to be human.

After that, in the boss fight to your left when you start they’re should be a body with loot, it’s the Paladin Armor.

Make sure to “zone”(save and quit then restart) after killing Leeroy’s Phantom so that body loads into the game.

Huh. It said I got invaded, and but I just kept running (because I was lost as fuck) and eventually he got vanquished. Probably fell off or something.

I just got to Seath The Scaleless…was I supposed to die the first time? Cause I didn’t see a way to attack him.

Yes, if you had put on a Rare Ring of Sacrifice before the fight you’ve kept your souls and whatever humanity you had. I didn’t catch on to that my first time either.

Before I forget, if you ever find yourself in the Painted World of Ariamis, the Undead Dragon makes a comeback of sorts, after you beat him his hind legs are supposed to block the bridge, but if you hit them with a plunging attack(tap forward+RB AND RT/R1 AND R2) they glitch into their idle standing state allowing you to walk underneath them and make your way to the boss fight of the world.

I don’t think anyone was prepared for that. I lost so much souls and humanity because of that.

Btw a plunging attack is done by doing tap forward +RT/R2. You don’t have to press both RT and RB.

Mother fucker, I’be been doing it like that forevers.

The archives are like a puzzle. I have no fucking idea where I’m going, lol

EDIT: Also what the fuck does this lever thing do with the horn?

Turn off the music making those tentacle monsters go nuts.

Fun fact those tentacles monsters are maidens Seath kidnapped and performed experiments on.

Dark Souls lore is super interesting to me because 90% of it explained in item descriptions so it’s kinda of a treasure hunt.

Now I’m stuck on Seath. I keep getting cursed.

Fuck this boss and fuck this area in general.
