Demon's/Dark Souls Thread. Dark Souls II!

Crazy shit just happened to me. I beat the Dragon God on my own for 2-4. Requires lots of patience and STEALTH.

Same thing happened to me. I think that guy is supposed to disappear after beating a few levels.

@platinum_pinoy: I found that battle to be not so bad. Beat him on my first try.

I thought he was super hard due to the fact that I kept trying to do it with partners. But, for the most part, everyone tried to bum rush and either I or the host gets wasted. I decided to try it out myself and lo and behold, I got him on my first try after getting owned with a team 10 times. I wasted so much healing items. Sucks, but oh well, on to the next challenge.

Oh, and what is the deal with The Tower of Latria? I tried partying, but then I get turned into a Black Summon by someone who was trying to summon me with a towel on my head…Does this mean we can’t summon in this stage?

Yeah he is supposed to dissapear. I like the game sometimes I die and turn it off saying fuck this shit 30 minutes later back for more.

That’s usually a sign of a good game. It’s either that, or saying “Just one more time” about 20-30 times before actually it being the last time.

Flame Lurker is also annoying me. Though I only gave him 2 shots so far. Soul Arrow as been owning all the bosses for me so far, and it seems like a legit strategy yet again.

Also, I found out why there is no Purple Flame Shield for me. When I went to go grab it, it said I was overburdened, and so the item gets dropped onto the ground. And then I got wacked by the tail after picking up the last ring. Shield’s gone.

Go on the left bone area near the boss entrance fog for Flame Lurker. He’s just run at the ribs while you can freely cast whatever spell at him. He may get in sometimes, but you can just repeat.

Easiest boss battle ever.

Yeah. Also, I don’t think this is a glitch like people say it is. There are other areas around the room that you can make him get stuck. I believe this is suppose to be what you do anyways.

Goddammit. I just pissed away a bunch of ephemeral stones trying to get my WT pure black, and when I log on today the shit reset. I didn’t even log out in the nexus either :bluu:

Love the game, but fuck world tendency. That shit is stupid.

I just used water veil and soul arrows while running around like a madman.

World tendency can be pretty annoying. I spent a bunch of time getting pure black on world 2, since it’s the easiest way to get back up to pure white for the keel smasher. Unfortunately, when I went to kill the special black phantom he fell down a pit, so it didn’t count as me killing him and no +3 to world tendency for me, so I can’t get that sword until new game +. I did get a whole bunch of sweet drops from farming enemies during pure black, lots of chunks of sharpstone/hardstone, so if anyone is wanting those just get pure black on world 2 and farm the tunnel of lizardmen to the right of the armored spider archstone.

Also make sure you stay offline when trying to mess with world tendency, there are way too many weird glitches online that can reset it.

The final boss’s gimmick in that world is that he doesn’t actually fight you himself, he summons another player to fight for him. So if you try to enter another player’s world on that stage I think you have a random chance of becoming the boss for someone else.

if you are summoned as a black phantom during the boss fight and you beat the other player, you get the monks head collar

I seem to be lost in 3-2. I know what I’m supposed to do (put out the torches), but I don’t know where to go after taking out the first one.

I believe you need to go to a platform near where you killed the guys keeping the torch lit and cut the chain to the giant heart. There should be some hanging cages with their doors open, walk into one of the cages and it will lower you down into the swamp.

Played it for the first time yesterday for about 3 hours. Seems tedious not difficult. I guess it will be getting harder very soon.

The beginning of the game is the hardest part. After you beat the first boss (and especially after you beat the second boss) the ability to grind souls with ease makes the prospect of losing souls in a dungeon completely painless, and if you so choose you can grind indefinitely to upgrade weapons/spells/stats/etc if you really want to. A couple bosses/sections can be tough but there’s almost always an easy solution around it.

Aww man I think I just fucked myself. I beat the Phalanx and just decided to keeping going on until I faced Tower Knight. I’m pretty much stuck chipping him by 4hp per attack but that’s not gonna help me beat him and I’m running low on moon herbs.

Huh? You can’t leave or something?

Man I feel like Guts with my Meat Cleaver.

You only have 2 choices in boss fights it seems, win or die.

Well I can leave the game if that’s what you mean. I’m assuming that when I load it back up I’ll still be stuck in the same room as the Tower Knight. You can’t leave a boss fight if I’m not mistaken.

I fought flame lurker like a MAN, shield and spear, face to face, only one of us was leaving alive. one shot him on my first try. I’m one level from beating the game my first time and haven’t learned a single spell, magic is for PANSIES…

…but the white bow, now that is for men! that bow is so ridiculously overpowered, made some boss fights an absolute joke. I remember getting to the 4-1 boss and killing him in like 10-15 arrows, barely even saw what he looked like other than his tongue. thing does 150+ dmg a shot with normal arrows, disgusting.

and it actually makes me feel like a hunter.:cybot: (the class I chose)
