(More details on these fixes will be announced later).

I’m guessing this means element weapons are getting toned down. Sucks that Ring of Fog is probably getting nerfed hard, but understandable. HELLA GLAD Tranquil is getting nerfed somehow.

Unlimited spells I can kind of understand if they go back to MP, but items? Seems a tad easy then.

Man… I’m just going to unplug, if I don’t get it beaten by then.

I want to experience the game the way it was originally intended before it goes all BB CS 2.0, even if the changes are for the better, as per BB CS 2.0, lol.

I think they are trying the issue of the unlimited item glitch or whatever. My brother ran into someone chucking infinite daggers at him. You literally want to facedesk when you run into assholes like that trying to grief you with stupid shit. Since there’s nothing that you really do to win.

so after you ascend a weapon, to RAW or divine, or whatever. how do you countinue to upgrade it to RAW+1 etc? i did this with the blacksmith by the garden. is there another blacksmith that i have to go to?

also, that blacksmith by the garden and sen’s fortress, is there a reason i cannot upgrade my catalyst with him? like i dont even see it on my list for the possibility of it being upgraded.

also, i dont really understand on the update. unlimited (infinite) items…why???

im outi

Roberth

I think the Unlimited items thing is a bug fix from people using a glitch that lets them duplicate usable items. There are vids of people duping items that give you souls and thus getting infinite souls.

HeaT, the sorcerer dude you freed in the depths can upgrade your catalyst, no blacksmiths can I don’t think. After you ascend a weapon, you have had to give a specific blacksmith a specific ember for them to be able to keep upgrading that ascended weapon. I know that the Blacksmith near the forest/sen’s can keep upgrading raw weapons, but you have had to give him a specific ember and I don’t remember which.

Well at least someone appreciated my message.

Too hard to get rated in this one since it is more of a pain to do it.

Is it me or does it take longer and longer to get from one area of the game to another as you progress?
Seems like it takes an awfully long time to get between areas now compared to before.

I’d rate you to infinity if I could!

I need to read more of the thread but right now i am getting bodied in londo on my way to princess stupid archers and silver knights

Archers are a pain, just run up to them and they stop shooting.
Silver knights just roll under their legs and hit them from behind.

Lava glow is hideous, they need to let me turn this shit off.

Why would you kill boobies and turn anor londo, on of the very FEW well lit areas in the game, into a yet another horrible dark place?

A lot of bosses are trivial if you use iron flesh, but i wonder if thats still the same in ng+. i agree on the bosses being easy though, the camera is the hardest enemy in the game that ive faced.

I still like rhe game a lot though.

Iron Flesh seems more of a style thing IMO. I can’t roll properly since I am way over 50% weight, and even then you can still get hit horrible hard. So you are trading high vit for extra endurance to block stuff you but basically put yourself in a position that you will get hit. In my case I like slow 2 handers so I get hit more than most. Centipede Demon did 50% of my health in damage even with iron flesh (4 hits with the swing) and I have 793HP. No doubt it would be an issue in NG+. I really wish I could use the dragonslayer spear instead but it needs 24 dex and str. Still, lightning spear that scales with stats is damn nice.

My 2nd character will probably be a caster or maybe a rogue type focusing on dex, since there are way more dex weapons than str seems like it would be easier to be effective.

What the fuck @ these dinosaurs, how the hell do you hit these cunts?

Ring of fog is probably the stupidest thing in this game, in a pvp situation anyway. You’re basically fucked when you come up against it aside from using it yourself. Of course there’s tricks you can use to beat it(what I’ve been doing lately is using Force, which no one seems to expect) but against an equally competent player you have no choice.

Last night in darkroot basin I was playing a new character messing around with magic, and I got invaded by I imagine two forest hunter dudes. So I hid with chameleon as a tree for probably 20 minutes. Finally I decide to head for the bridge where I know they can’t get behind me and I’m on somewhat equal grounds. Suddenly I’m getting smacked by something not there, not ring of fog something literally not there. Very small hits, backstabs for garbage damage on my squishy mage, hitting me continuously while I’m climbing down a ladder. Finally killed me backstabbing me off an edge. Some kind of glitch? All I could see was the sparks of a weapon hitting the cliff behind me, and couldn’t hit anything near me.

Still waiting for Sendit to get me my UK Dark Souls limited, so I’m hitting Demon’s Souls one more time during the pure white tendency. I think it switches to pure black tomorrow. What should my focus for pure white events be, the stuff in 3-1 or getting Makoto in 4-2? How important is the Makoto, I’ve never had it before?

Arrows. Lots and lots of arrows. But you are just trying to clear a path, not clear out all of them. Izalith is a bitch.

Yeah hitting them in the legs with lightning spear works (4 hits to kill) but the whole area is horrible. My eyes are bleeding from the bright ass lava. That is something that I had to mod out of oblivion as well in the gate sections.

I think I’m gonna use my crystal ring shield for this one. 2 shots and kills them from range. Still, yuck yuck yuck @ this lava.

And be careful with it because lava does fast durability damage to armor.

Yeah, I noticed each piece of my gear needed 60+ souls to be repaired, man this area is brutal. Gonna skip it for now and do it when I’m up to banging my head against a wall.

I wonder how effective poison arrows would be… gotta remember this for later.

One way to use Makoto is for it’s health-draining properties, allowing you to utilize the Clever Rat’s Ring effect (increases attack power when HP is less than 30%). Basically, you equip Makoto until your health is low enough to activate the Clever Rat’s Ring, and then switch out the Makoto. This is helpful when it comes to killing crystal lizards, since you can snipe them and kill them quickly from a distance.

As a weapon, it’s good in the early game (as long as you offset the health drain with something like the Adjudicator’s Shield), but I prefer the uchigatana over it.

Don’t forget Morion Blade causes a stacking effect with Clever Rat’s ring if you hold it in your left slot. (140% damage bonus when both are stacked apparently!) So using both while equipped with a Sticky Compound Long Bow +5 with high enough DEX makes your character a super cannon.

Ceaseless Discharge is still owning me. I beat Moonlight Butterfly (BARELY) though. Learned the right dodging movements at the last second.

I might need some help with Sen’s Fortress later…
