I installed this game to 360 and the DVD drive still runs the entire time and is loud as fuck. Is this normal?
The next stop for me is Blighttown, I believe. Is it better to enter through New Londo Ruins or the Depths? The only things I plan on picking up there are the Laito, Ninja Armor Set, Firekeeper’s Soul, and Dragon Scale.
Spoiler
If you want to do that Ceaseless Discharge trick, you gotta run all the way to the spot where you looted the treasure even if you already looted it THEN you proceed to run all the way back at the entrance. For some odd reason he gets smart and doesnt follow you all the way if you dont run to the treasure spot.
Since the Iaito and the Ninja Armor set are located near the start of Blighttown, you’re better off starting from the Depths and working your way down.
where’s a good place to farm some large titanite shards?
OK I’ll see if I can survive that long lol, last time he just one shotted me THROUGH THE WALL of that little side path. This guy is pissing me off something fierce right now. Do I have to let him come all the way back? Or just run to the treasure, and then run back?
BK’s are lame :/.
The first character I made, I killed the one in Burg and got the Sword. Second character I made I got the shield and greatsword from the two in Burg. On my third and fourth remake I got nothing :(. All I want is the shield. It’s so amazing if you get it to drop, it’ll last you a long time.
Not sure if this is the same trick, but you can easily run up the stairs and into that narrow alley. Once you’re behind the rock, dip into the alley just enough to get his attention and lock on. He will groan and slam his hand down. Just roll right, then go back and whack away on his hand. Really easy once you get the timing down.
just run to the treasure then run back, no need to have him follow you.
Wow. Queelag was named aptly.
I lagged so hard, I’d have thought I was doin’ D2 on 56k.
My screen literally froze for two seconds, and I died.
Cue Michelle Black
CD is the easiest damn boss in the game. Run into the nearest hole in the crevass all the way to the end, then hang out a little bit to the left. Stay in that area and the only attack he’ll do is the tentacle, which you can hit after he does his one attack. Just make sure you are out of range of the hitbox, and the startup is so long it is obvious. Rinse, repeat, ggs.
Dudes that beat the game, boss difficulty rankings?
every damn boss
[details=Spoiler]
Easiest would be a split between Pinwheel, Discharge, and Nito.
Toughest were smough and orenstein and the four kings without abusing the poise/armor thing.[/details]
Quelaag barely lagged at all for me. Nito is the worst one by far, a friend had him freeze on him 7 times before it stayed working long enough to beat him.
So all these occasional freezes/lag spikes or whatever is the game and not my ps3? Oh thank the lord, my PS3 is fine!
Lol yeah that’s one of the 3 NPC BPs
You actually need a +10 pyromancy flame for that tutor to show up.
Pew
[details=Spoiler]I’d say Bed of Thorns is one of the easiest as well.
While not a boss, Capra is a mother f’er.
As for Gwyn unless you are very good at parrying his retarded ass swinging, you’ll probably have to abuse Iron Flesh. He doesn’t really give you much room to breathe; but if you have a fast weapon, you could easily stagger him though.[/details]
Anyone fight Super Saiyan Ornstein yet? If so, how was it?
The fight can be pretty hard by yourself. I recommend being in human form and having the NPC help you, or other players.
The character you kill first powers up the 2nd one. So if you kill Smough you get SS Ornstein but if you kill Ornstein you get SS Smough.
I am a cheap fucker so I just used my crystal ring shield to 3 shot Smough and 4 shot SS Ornstein.
I agree Stabby, those two boss fights were the hardest. The rest are braindead easy, they require no thought whatsoever(well, except for the two Stray Demon fights. You actually have to dodge here and there.) I literally just ran up to 90% of the games bosses, attacked until my stamina was about to run out, heal if my health was near 50-60%, rinse, repeat. Cutting off Seath the Scaleless’s tail for his sword was the hardest thing to do for me that involved the bosses.
Demon’s Souls bosses > Dark Souls bosses. Shit, after I’ve beaten the game I’ve been thinking that Demon’s Souls itself is > Dark Souls. I’ve been thinking about replaying it.
Best message so far is “Amazing chest ahead” in the Chamber of the Princess.
