I start Ryu first because I like his options from neutral better, and then I can feel comfortable to just DHC Brand in when I’ve got the momentum going my way. I did a similar thing when I ran Ryu/Dormammu in Vanilla.

I also found a way to setup a good reset if they get hit by the tenderizer with Frank shopping cart if anyone is interested.

I think this is meant to be ‘oh hey, let them hit the ground for more meter’. An improvement on the old method or something. Which is kinda dumb since if they hit the ground they can Crossover Counter
Haha good point or do invulnerable supers… There are a lot on the ground…
I still don’t think they can do that effectively since Skrull will still pin them in blockstun, though if you meant Cross Counter then cancel that with an Invulnerable hyper, yeah, that probably works.
Its actually that the combo done when they are in the air builds a full meter without a meter boosting assist instead of the old combo. If they happen to hit the ground and do not reversal (which may happen as it can be ambiguous) then the combo can be extended further. It was just a higher amount of meter gain for the Firebrand death loop was all.
Essentially optimizing the combo.
When I was watching evo there was a FB mirror match. It was post pools play. I honestly don’t remember who it was. Does anyone know what I’m talking about and can give me a link to that match?

Its not a waste of meter. Firebrand doesnt have a level three where he can easily combo into for level 3 damage. So Doom does it for firebrand, and if firebrand did bon voyage farther away from the corner. Doom can come in, and OTG to continue the combo
Well, i can understand that but for the most part in the game it’s rare you’re going to throw out a level 3 for a kill. You can do just as much by conserving meter and doing a mixup with a neutral assist off of bon voyage or something. But yeah, it does have it’s uses. Haven’t quite got the distance down yet for combo’ing. So far, i was just able to chuck out the level 3 fast enough. If anyone can combo after, please post a vid. I look to update this page soon with some Firebrand/Dr. Doom unblockable tech i’ve been messing with.
Has anyone posted a vid on Doom’s missiles as an unblockable setup? I got a prototype here but there isn’t much meter gain with it. I more or less, wanted to prove it was possible, and with tighter timing, inescapable. Cheers!
I use this particular setup myself, that being Firebrand/Doom. I tag in Doom in for TACs, which lets me build a ton of meter and choose whether or not to LVL3 or do air Photon Array to Dark Flame OTG
So far my unblockables with firebrand/Doom uses rocks assist.
