FINALLY found an Elf, got the chance to try Strike OS Cannon Spike (auto-correct). beats escape reversal ex dp (legs?) and Backdash. i ended up using cannon spike MORE than usual (as a counter measure to his run specials.).

Note: Thanks Diana (or Prince? ) for allowing me to explore the elf matchup. even tho we discussed this MONTHS ago. this OS is viable. so on elfs wakeup its either throw (beats EX Run) or Strike OS Spike. :china:

you guys revised the OS? I remember when you guys were talking about it and I mentioned about ex run and all the armor elf gets in the corner. so is it just meaty throw os auto correct HK dp?

Crouch strong whiff works for all the characters with 5frames and more startup .So it does work on fei long .U do your backthrow ,plink cr mp and jump .Vs 5frames i use plinked cr lk whiff because i have 1 more frame window to do my safe jump .Vs Adon u have to throw , walk back 3 frames and jump. Vs cammy and Sagat cr mp is very easy because they wakeup 1frame later , so if u whiff cr mp and hold jump , u have exactly 2 frames window to do your safe jump. U can be just as consistent as Ryu and Akuma with it .

Okay, good to know. When I tried it in Training Mode, I would lose to Fei Long Flame Kicks. I probably wasn’t plinking the Crouch Strong good enough. I’ll practice it some more. Thanks, Alioune Sensei!!

at the moment trying to CS mid screen after hk sa.

(i was fooling around in training trying to get that unblockable on crouching dhalsim and ended up hitting dhalsim with tcks, c.hp, FAR HK lol, OMG HYPE!)

i dont think whiffed throw will give you enough time to OS a special. (i need to study the situation further)

at the moment its a mix up between:

• throw = beats ex run
• Strike OS HK Spike = beats escape ex dp legs and backdash.

i applied the recorded setup to those characters and it didnt work…perhaps with a timing change? ill experiment further
