Sentinel would work the best imo as he is a great assist for hulk and ryu. But you could also run amaterasu with cold star or doom missles maybe. But thats what i would recommend as you want a lockdown assist of sorts to held those characters with their mixups.
Know of any vids for the Hulk / Dr. Strange (Bolts) / Dorm (Dark Hole) iteration of the team? I’m messing around with it, at the moment.
Who would be best 3rd for Hulk/Arthur/X? I need a solid assist to cover keep-away Arthur and rushdown Hulk. I’m currently using Dante’s Jam Session, but I can’t help but feel that there is a better choice for that spot. I’m thinking Missiles might be best, but I figured that I would ask actual Hulk players.
I’ve been using Hulk(gamma wave), Amaterasu(cold star), and Deadpool(katanarama). Hulk with gamma wave assist can use the THC set-up with Amaterasu, like Doom can. It requires x-factor for +1mill damage, but I think it’s worth it for annoying characters like Zero, or any x-factor anchors. If you don’t hit them with the 1 frame THC, you can wave dash for a cross-up or air-throw chicken blockers. It takes lab-time to get comfortable with.
This is my main team for the rest of this game’s life. These are my favorite characters in the game, and have a decent amount of chemistry, and I’ve only just started using it.

Thoughts on that lineup? I was competent with Hulk and X-23 back when the game was young but I’ll be completely fresh to Dorm.
Hulk (gamma charge)/Dorm(dark hole)/ Sent (rocket punch)
Since vanilla and I’m doing well, rocket punch is my favorite OTG in the game since it has great range does a lot of damage for free. I had drones for a while but it doesn’t help hulk out as much as an OTG assist does in the long run. Being able to combo off air throws means death for almost all characters and dark hole is a really good lock down assist.
This team has done right by me all the times I went to WNF, I never got far in the tournament though since I play on the ps3 pad and I have to handicap myself by playing on xbox and having to use a stick.
Nice lineup, but I hope you’re using X-23 as your Anchor rather than Dorm. He’s good, but he needs help with his big damage combos.
Yeah…noticed that. He’s unusual and doesn’t fit my playstyle and I was def. having trouble getting good damage out of him. I’ve ended up back at Hulk/X-23/Sentinel and with Hulk/OTG assist/Sentinel team I’m feeling pretty day one. I’m not really gonna suprise anyone with this. It’ll tide me over until I get some actual time to really hit the lab, though.
I’m wondering if people already know this, but I just discovered you can actually raw tag in Doom after Hulk’s command throw midscreen and get a combo.
It’s pretty tight, but it’s basically the same concept as comboing off Doom’s forward throw i.e. Command Throw > Raw Tag > dash > jump cancel > addf > st.B (1 hit) > forward C > etc.
I apologize if this is well known already, I’ve just never seen anyone do this.
I’m working with a Zero-a/Hulk-a/Vergil-y team at the moment, any tips or advice for this? I enjoy playing the team and don’t wish to drop it.
Nova can also be rawtagged in with a centurion slide into combo. Not sure if the hit scaling or damage is reset though:P Going through a list of characters that can otg to see who else can do this:)
EDIT: Wolverine and Wesker can otg with an assist, hawk eye can get one hit off ( perhaps more my execution sucks) , Chris,Felicia can otg. Seems to scale though. More I’m sure
Never seen it, but that’s amazing because I have no way to consistently combo off of the command grab with my Hulk team, but my Doomhops are godlike so I’ll actually get damage this time. Thank you sir.
edit: So, I have a lot of trouble getting this to work unless the opponent is thrown close to the corner… It’s hard enough that I probably wouldn’t go for it if it’s the full distance.
I’ve been working with Hulk (Gamma Charge)/Taskmaster (Horizontal Arrows)/Wesker (Samurai Edge) and I’ve been loving it. The damage output the team can do is incredible and each character DHC’s into each other perfectly. I was just wondering if anyone here would know a good answer to Morrigan with the team I’m using?
looking to put someone at the front of the Dante/IronMan since Vanilla. Would Hulk go pretty well?
Hulk doesn’t have really good synergy with Dante/IronMan in my opinion. You could use him as a meat shield, but the assists available to him wouldn’t help much and limit his pressure.
How about Hulk/Dante/Sentinel then?
Start with Task and use Anti-Air G-Charge and hope for the best. Wesker and especially Hulk get destroyed by Morrigan so starting with Task and kill her off before she gets momentum is your best chance at winning.
You can do some cool THC stuff by having Dante on the team. You’d have to experiment with the team and assist to get full damage on hulks air throws and find ways to extend Dante’s combos with Hulk and Sent. Problem you’ll have is that Dante doesn’t DHC well with hulk or Sent unless he’s in the corner.
I have to disagree. Iron Man has arguably the best best assist in the game, and Dante’s Jam Session prevents them from super jumping away. Both Iron Man and Dante are very technical, but if you have good execution, this is a great Hulk team.
I’m new to this forum stuff but I’ve been using task-a spencer-y with Hulk-a on anchor since vanilla. I lost interest with spencer so I’m looking good pointman or follow up character for my Hulk team. I tried Chris Nova Firebrand Sentinel Thor and Shuma Gorath but these guys don’t mesh well. I’ve been liking Storm or Ironman but something doesn’t sit well with these two. Although I’ve been curious about using Ryu as pointman and switching positions with Task & Hulk depending on what kind of team I’m fighting. I’m not completely sure of who goes really well with Task & Hulk but I need your insight SRK .
btw: I HATE Doom Zero Wesker and the DMC gang.
