Hulk/Doom is so GDLK

jump in with j.L + Doom hidden missile assist, land, command throw!
mash the button until all missile are in the air, let go, dash, missiles hit OTG, jump in with S and do a combo of your choice!
hits everywhere on screen!

Hulk is just a godly teammate for the majority of the cast.

AA assist is Marvel 2 like and under-rated
Gamma wave OTG’s and is a nice knockdown projectile (not a combo starter though)

His DHC’s are damaging and varied, Crush from close combos, wave from distant.
Heavy health to balance out the majority of casts weak hp. Hulk needs an assist to help him get in though IMO or zone with wave.

Hulk/Haggar is just godlike!! Haggar helps out Hulk a lot with his larriat assist leaving Hulk enough time to start his air magic series and finish his opponent with a gamma wave followed by a gamma tsunami. Anyway, I dunno who put into this tag but it seems it lacks a good beamer or fast character. Maybe Doom or Iron Man’s beams should be the best option but Wesker should be good too with his amazing OTG assist…

I don’t really feel that hulk and haggar should be on the same team, whenever I see them on the same team I just try and kill off the 3rd character since thats the one that usually lets hulk and haggar in on me. Without that 3rd character its just me running away and chipping away at haggar or hulk. Though if it works then it works.

I definitely agree that you should never have Haggar and Hulk on the same team. That’s one too many heavy low-mobility characters. Any good opponent will simply snap in your third teammate, kill them and then pick off the sluggish Hulk and Haggar with projectiles.

Hulk & Haggar arguably can work together. Haggar would have to lead off, and you would need to have a Beam Assist, but in theory it could work. Plus, IIRC, Haggar’s Rapid Fire Fist Hyper can DHC into Gamma Crush if timed right.

But yeah, having that team is only gonna make you’re Anchor a target (like if you had Jean Grey at 3rd), so it’s best not to team them up.

So given the video of Spencer/Hulk on the main page I’ve been looking at possible Hulk DHC options. I’ve been trying to find a way to do She-Hulk into a whiffed gamma charge or even gamma quake and then being able to continue it either off of SheHulk’s OTG assist or Gammawave. So far nothing.

What about everyone else, anyone finding interesting DHC trick possibilities for the Hulk?

Insane awesome jill combo into dp+2atk (in reality I did s.c into it)
When Jill jumps into the air right after the last hit do Gammatsunami
That will whiff then do gammawave and call Dorm
Relaunch bbcs
Gammawave jill assist
super crush

Only problem is I don’t know Jill for shit so I have to start with 2 bars. I imagine if I knew Jill you could start with 1 or at least 1 and a little and build that second one before doing her super. As it stands with just Jill s.a s.b s.c super into the above it netted me 979,500. Not too shabby for no X-Factor

I can get 1.020.000 with Hulk in the corner using 2 assists with DHC its KO

Okay, I can’t take credit for this (I think Sinister or another Hulk user used it in a video), but I’ve been using it.

(near corner) :h:, :s:, j.:m::m::h::s:, otg assist, :s:, j.:h::s:, gamma wave + Dorm Dark Hole, :h:, gamma wave xx gamma crush.

Why is it so great? It builds more meter than it uses, does 1mil+ damage, should work with any otg assist, can DHC to possibly kill any character at full health, and it could work with a few other multi-hitting assists for the last part.

Works with Chris gunfire M assist too.

How would you not have the meter? From my testing yesterday, it builds 1.75 meters.

I definitely agree with the Dark Hole assist thing. However, I haven’t tried it much yet, but I see a low hitting assist setting up some nasty “unblockables.” For example, Wesker shot assist + Hulk’s j.H seems interesting to toy around with. Unblockable on the ground, but may grab them if they jump.

Yeah, this has been my combo since week 2, except my OTG assist Dante’s Crystal, which allows me to throw a s.:h: in before the :s: and I use Doom’s Molecular Shield instead of Dark Hole - which is less timing specific.

The only problem with this combo is that the opponent will tech out after the 2nd j.:h: if you use j.:s: to start the combo against a jumping opponent (though, that might be specific to my version since Crystal hits so many times).

It’s only 956k in the video because Wesker’s assist does 50k less than Sent’s rocket punch. I got a friend to record it and throw it up on Youtube. Otherwise, I would’ve demonstrated more assists.

I realized I didnt correctly catch it and was thinking of a different combo. Tried deleting my post but didnt let me so I edited it, I guess you read it before I could do so. Though not sure how as it looks like you posted 20 minutes after I edited. Ah well.

As for the assist part I just think Hulk’s moves are so sorta slow you’d have to really have a perfect setup and timing to get for example Hulk FP to connect at the exact same time as Felicias low hit. Certainly makes it a hard to block but I don’t see Hulk getting a lot of opportunities to do a true unblockable.

I use Shulk torpedo in conjunction with Hulk’s j. attacks, especially on pressuring wakeup. You can just straight up j.:s: or play around with j.:h: mixups. If it doesn’t hit on the exact same frame it’s not unblockable, but you can switch up timing to make things really hard to block.

Stuff like call torpedo, j.:h::s: are fairly simple and work really well. Even if it’s not a true unblockable they still have to block high,low,high in quick succession.

On topic, I have been trying out Hulk point with amaterasu second and I have much better success with this than with doom second. I guess it would be a different story if i played a beam zoning team but i used Hulk/amaterasu/wesker against a dormammu/chun/x23 player who is very skilled and did very well with this. Cold star is a solid assist that allows you an easy :h: or :m: command grab mixup after it finishes. I guess dormammu dark hole works similar.

With wesker I’ve been doing call wesker otg assist, instant air :l::l: and then :h::s: land. Those are four overheads in a very quick span of time. just started using this a lot last night, is pretty crafty.
