DeeJay General Discussion

the beginning before the first hit.

he’s more invincible to projectiles than strikes.

Working hard to be the number one deejay in Toronto and soon the US…

Soon the US? Lol

Hey, a man can have high hopes and dreams…lol

You said soon. Thought I was missing something. I’ve been keeping tabs on all the competitive deejays.

Sorry I’m very competitive and saying you’re better than me is the same as issuing a challenge.

Soon could be anytime lol… But hey I don’t mind a challenge :P… I believe we’ve faced off before when super just dropped… I don’t mind giving it a go

Well now that you’ve thrown down the gauntlet in a public place, I trust you understand that we’ll be expecting video evidence of the outcome forthwith.

Well I’m by no means any good with Deejay, but my goal is to become to the best Deejay in my area with hopes to perhaps take that even further. There’s no harm in being motivated.

why do Deejays use close s.HK in blockstrings

simple answer: frame trap
complex answer: depends on the deejay

honesty its not true frametrap

To CH Dudleys who mash cr.lp

If you put yourself at an advantage and press a button afterwards, then its a frame trap.

i mask c.LK like bison
all day

but srs
can deejay do anything after a cl.HK?
seems useless to me that’s all

maybe the 2nd hit juggles if on counter hit?
idk just wonderin

The second hit is super cancel-able so it could be used as a super into ultra set up.

I disagree. Honesty is the only true frame trap.

i mean cl.st.hk only super-cancelable not speacial ,so its very predictable
and if u want advantage on block and use st mk(for example) before, and then cl.st HK. most of the times DJ do far st HK, cuz opponent knockback to far.

you have to know your character. it doesn’t happen to me. i’ve been doing close roundhouse more often. it hasn’t worked often, but getting far roundhouse is showing that somebody is afraid to walk after advantage and doesn’t know their character well enough.

i dont mind to walk closer to opponent
i just want to say it’s not true frametrap cuz when u walking closer u wasting time…

DeeJay had one of the best walk speeds in the game. So I think this comes into play depending on who your playing against. Not all people crouch-tech the same, for example. Some like to mash it like crazy (online mostly) and then there are people that do it quick and do it slowly. Once you can figure out your opponents “tempo” for crouch-teching (try listening to their stick ;)) I think you should be able tie in the “walk-forward frame trap” accordingly.
