The best thing about unthrowbable sobat was if you saw an obvious throw attempt you could get them with a sobat if they didn’t throw you then the punish wasn’t really that bad.
Now I see obvious throws and have to tech. And online yesterday I got thrown way more than I should have damn online teching lol
I think I just about gave up on teching throws online, as even crouch tech seems to fail when Deejay just does some random looking c. lk which he is almost immediately thrown out of. But upkick seems to do the job against larger characters, and I think I’m going to have to utilize instant knee shot alot more to deal with overly zealous blockstrings into tick throws.
I think Deejay has a pretty good matchup against the twins, though that shit is terrible if they get up close, from about mid screen if not a bit more, Deejay can usually beat the dive kick more ways then others, and he recovers fast enough that the rolling upkick doesn’t seem to be as effective.
I did notice a nice little plinking differential on Deejay’s normal throw, not sure if its anything substantial, but close lp does seem to cause the opponent to go into a blocking stance, despite never really hitting with the punch, and then if you throw right out of it, to not cause block stun. Might be useful in blockstrings, might be nothing.
The rest, idrk. Mostly just random notes and random matches, but I’m loving the new s. MK, its basically another button to hit when c. mk seems too precitable, and it can AA. Almost like Deejay has no hitbox for it in his foot, but instead in his leg, gonna want to see that data later.
Dash ultra is free now, I mean you still need to practice it, but when I’m pulling it off… well you know.
I started playing GoD AE today and am loving the changes. Dissapointed that its a sea of Twins/Evil Ryu though
Unrelated note, is it just me or with AE is anyone else experiencing significantly lower FPS/higher Lag than previous? I want to know if my internet is just messing up now or if this is permanent
Ultra II after the slide works pretty well, much more than before. Pretty handy in the corner when the opponent jumps back like they love to do. Works fine middle screen too.
cr lp - cr lp - st mk - sobat is a good hit confirm to Super, works well after a cross-up.
