Did anyone confirm from AE lk soat kicks losing vs throws?
I think it’s confirmed. Which is annoying for the Abel matchup.
it was in the dev blog. so its a fact. if gief jumps when you don’t have down charge you have to trade AA or block and block the following mixup. The non throwable lk sobat was necessary. if he had that i think deejay could have snuck into B tier.

j.hk, cr.hp xx mp air slash, cr.hp xx hk sobat 395/614. Too bad this only works on crouching fat guys(tested vs. hawk)
Can still do j.hk, cr.hp xx lp air slash, cr.mp xx hk sobat for 374/530 against lots of characters(works on some skinny characters like Viper), and that does 14 more damage in AE cause of the cr.mp buff.

Nice buffs overall. Nothing that will really change any match up though, but I m fine with that.

exactly it doesn’t change matchups. That’s why when people say DJ the first thing they say are “i bet you can’t wait til AE”

after seeing the frame data i understand completely why he isn’t B tier, but top of C.
Very rarely, you can land the loop off of a focus crumple too against some of the characters though.
Lk sobat buff is actually very good in certain matchups because it opens up your punish ability. Also certain strings leave you outside of cr.mp range vs. certain characters, but you are still in st.lk range, so you can tack on some damage.
what could lk sobat punish now? in speculation of course. i have a hard time seeing it now because i don’t use it to punish. its seems just as bad as using lk tatsu to punish.
nah, the point is you stick out cr.lk or st.lk and cancel it into sobat in situations where you would just punish with cr.mk. or do like st.lk, cr.lk xx lk sobat.
A situation where this could pop up is in the mirror if you block an lk sobat. A lot of stuff is sort of safe because it’s in that -5/-7 territory and puts people sort of far away, but cr.lk and st.lk have crazy range.
Have you guys ever played around with M up-kicks to H up-kicks in combos. i was playing around with it in training, and got hella surprised at how easy it is to get the opponent to the corner with it. from midscreen cr.jab cr.jab to M up-kick to H up-kick takes the dummy all the way to the corner.
its also really good at creating space since you recover way before the opponent can quick rise, you can just walk back to full screen.
i don’t know if this is old since I’ve never seen it discussed here or seen it in any videos.

It really surprised me how good it is for wall carrying. i want to see how useful it is in the dhalsim and guile MU’s.
And Ice i haven’t forgotten the beating you gave me a few weeks back, made me super salty since i was playing like shit + playing on 360 pad, i want a rematch when madcatz finally restocks the TEs for 360.

you can do combos into u1 with focus crumple or sometimes weird ex air slasher.
upkicks, upkicks does more damage than MGU in most combos, and gives you great wall carry+ you can get a crossup/fake crossup mixup after it. It’s pretty damn good. It doesn’t work on a lot of crouchers, and it doesn’t works in as many extended combos because mk upkicks has limited range.
Well cr lp cr mp upkicks works on all the cast, i wouldnt rely on it since its a 1 frame link
that doesn’t work at max range on all characters though, also cr.jab, st.mk xx mk upkicks doesn’t work on some of the cast, and is one of his better starters for it. Same with cr.hp xx upkicks, just whiffs on certain characters.
mk upkicks -> mk upkicks is great in corner, I’m messing around vs. rufus right now, and if you jump after and he techs first frame it creates a ridiculous mixup situation for him, and is also a safejump.
if he blocks back, j.mk is blocked but you land behind him, meaning he has to reverse his block here.
If he blocks forward you hit him, and then go into the corner, which isn’t ideal positioning, but you landed a hit, so you can combo.
If you delay your jump 1-2 frames later, the situation changes to where he has to block opposite, and you can also mixup with mk upkicks -> hk upkicks, where it is still the same mixup as mk -> except that if he blocks correctly you stay on the front side.
only time i combo upkicks to upkicks is to punish. doesn’t come up too ofter. the damage is nice and so is the wall carry.
regular air slasher doesn’t combo into U1 unless you do something crazy like fireball fadc (from full screen) dash forward slide then U1 lol i do it in training for fun. Definitely hit confirmable.
Ex Air Slasher is the same. I think they don’t want U1 to combo.
As for DeeJay’s crossup after mk upkicks to either mk or hk followup. i decided to learn not to learn where i would be. If I don’t know how it works then my opponent has to guess just like me. I just hold that down charge.
i was playing DJ it was like the second day after i bought my 360 i got to 3300 pp then said fuck since my execution on that pad was so terrible it started costing me matches.
how do you guys think DJ will do against yun and the other top characters, i feel yun will lose slightly to DJ since his AA game is so good with charge, the only thing that worries in this match now is his command grab since we lost airborne lk dreads.
