i usually use a lot of sweep.
dudley can get mauled in that match. DeeJay has ex mgu so its not that bad on wakeup.
I am not afraid to U2 any Dudley overheads on wakeup. You can do the motion, ending in back/upback and only press the button if you’re sure, otherwise you’ll just block the O/H. My friend mains Dudley and he is scared to do any low/high mixup on me on wakeup because I ultra is 90% of the time. I’m more afraid to against Dudley players I don’t know though.
And yeah, I use a fair few slides in that match, Dudley’s like to stand up a lot. Especially the ones who think forward fierce is the easy button. DeeJay pretty much owns that matchup while Dudley is at bay, but once Dudley gets in and starts pressing lots of buttons DJ is done IMO. Dudley stops you from downcharging with overheads and counterhits any button presses or techs leading to a huge combo. Sometimes if a Dudley’s doing that I’ll actually just random EX Dread, it seems to be the only thing DJ can do in hopes of getting free.
^ you play the matchup the same way i do. If the dudley likes to do ducking and follow up to punish a fireball i go for CH Fierce. Try that out on your friend.
I’ve been using CH Fierce more now in my game. I like to use it as an option select and buffer the EX dread into it. I like using it in the Boxer match sometimes, especially if they like to use a lot of EX moves. c.HP actually has a nice hitbox but the recovery is pretty terrible.
So the AE Mook is out of print. Unless one of you can get a friend with the info or somebody willing to share, then no frame data for us til AE actually drops and somebody does it for us. I’m still mad at that stupid ass Texan.
I never thought of using that as a poke against Dud.

If they decide to rebalance AE they need to nerf the shit out of fei long. i’m tired of losing to players who aren’t better than me because they use fei long do stupid shxt randomly and its all safe. its ridiculous.

I used to main fei long, and I was frustrated when I would do something dumb, and be rewarded for it. For that reason I’ve picked up Dee Jay and several other characters where I’m heavily punished for mistakes and it’s made the game a lot more fun for me.
go back to fei while you still can lol if you’re not a tourney player this will make the game more enjoyable.

vs. Blanka you have to space sobats well so they are safe and to catch him walking forward. If you let me walk you to the corner, it’s far too easy for Blanka to get you in a situation where your only outs are wakeup ultra.

other than that. i suck. i couldn’t even win a 10 man local. got to GF against my friend who’s viper i can beat on the regular. played terrible in winner’s finals loser’s finals grand finals and threw my stick. Needless to say i’m done til AE. i’m not waiting for the buffs. just need time off. Pokemon Black = Pokemon Crack. Its awesome and its the hardest pokemon game hands down. til June, stay thirsty my friends.

New Jap Tier list is out. DJ is top C rank. I think that’s pretty good, I think he needs to do slightly more damage on average to be in that place but we’ll see.
Even though he’s at a decent spot there still are hardly any Japanese players using him, I really hope people don’t flock to him because I like being “that DJ player” and I want to be rewarded for sticking with him. I know there’s a couple top Guile players in the UK that are switching to DJ in AE but people said that they were going to jump to DJ when Super came out and did for about a week.
I wonder how he’ll do against Yun & Yangs mixups and divekicks, I hope he has some good answers because I got a feeling we’ll see a fuck load of top tier whoring in AE, more than vanilla.
Even the Japanese are tier whoring. Check air’s interview lol they all dropped whoever to play yun, if it didn’t feel right or fit them they picked fei. If this game never gets rebalanced i’ll be disappointed. doesn’t even have to be a new edition, just a patch for the S-Rank.
i also demand the new srk get patched. this thing crashes my phone and the tapatalk version has a lot of missing threads.
