You may make him wear something that does not say Maximum but if it has it printed it needs to be there.

Yes, although Dee Jay Personal Action 11 being him pointing at the opponent and saying “No woman, no cry!” would pretty much make him godtier 
I got top 16, which I was really happy with; since last tournament I got knocked out in the groups stages.
It really drove home how much time I need to spend in training mode, because I was dropping links all over the place, and a couple of times I nailed people with EX MGU, had U2, but had to go with EX Dread because I can’t do dash U2.
The match where I was knocked out of the losers bracket by an Ibuki was recorded, if you guys want to see that.
It nicely highlights how terrible I am =/

Ibuki matchup I think is in DJ’s favor 6-4 or at least 5.5-4.5. You just got to know what to do.

I’ve beaten this Ibuki before fairly decisively in casuals, and he straight up told me that I was just doing the same stuff as then and was too predictable.
Any anti-Ibuki tips I can work on would be sweet though.
(I just realised the Xbox we played on kept asking to upgrade to the “Tournament DLC”, so Ibuki’s long wakeup invincibility wouldn’t have been patched out yet. Not saying that’s why I lost, but it probably didn’t help.)

I honestly forgot the tournament mode came with a patch until afterwards, as I’m sure everyone else did at the time.
So has anyone else noticed counterhit close st.MK and close st.LK both confirm into ultra 2? The lightkick one was actually featured in [media=youtube]MFJmehZksWw#t=5m50s"[/media] but I noticed on WAMO that close standing MK might work too, tried it for a little while and got it to go off once…I think I saw it do 509 damage and the dummy was in the corner so who knows if it works anywhere else. Seems kind of silly…but hey…the more you know right?

a good guide to know if the honda you’re playing knows his shit or not is if he uses jumping strong or roundhouse to get in on deejay rather than jumping fierce…or max range jab > hp hands.
honda has a bitch of a time getting in, but it’s not exactly a cakewalk for deejay either. you have to be on your toes pretty much the entire match, gotta have your normal anti-airs and down-up charges on point. mistime a charge or throw a fireball a couple frames too late, and that’s 40% gone.
i haven’t played in a while and i’m probably terrible at the game. i haven’t played in 2 weeks. And i haven’t played online in a long time.
Honda just gets a lot of free damage if deejay messes up.

also people seem to keep forgetting that you can focus honda’s buttslam, as long as it wasn’t a reversal.

also honda players expect a punish so they may throw out a hail mary afterwards (another sumo splash to try to catch the throw attempt, or an ex headbutt to try to stuff any punish attempts, or an oichi if they are feeling old school)
