Dee Jay

If I’m not mistaken, there are a lot of characters that, if you’re too close to the corner when you initiate the juggle, they’ll fall out of it before the last kick upward. It’s best to know that “very near midscreen” distance, since it pretty much guarantees you a full juggle on most of the cast.

I made a Dee Jay siggy for myself this morning. I couldn’t find a topic on Dee Jay in the art section so I’m coming here.

What do you guys think?

Awesome. Good work! Can’t wait to play with Dee Jay again!

Nice.

this is one of the ones that i can do:

and there are others. some taking multiple ex bars and some taking none. i was told recently too that it can be done from midfield but i havent seen it yet.

mhh i wonder if you can juggle into DeeJays ultra… i looks like it needs the first hits to connect

i doubt it will suck in the opponent in like Rufus’ ultra does…
if we’re unlucky enough we get something like chun li has… a ultra that kicks away the opponent instead of sucking him in O.O

I still dont get it why Chun needs to kick the opponents away but if we compare it to Kens Ultra…

I tride it with my brother… if you’re psycho enough you can catch Dhalsims j.HP with Kens first hit of his Ultra and suck dhalsim all over the screen into a full cinematic ultra of ken… that is an ultra !

i dont get why everyones worried about the ultra :stuck_out_tongue: the ex-dread kicks crumple them and you get a full ultra. thats a lot less than most characters have to do. im quite happy with the combo-ability of the ultra.

is the ex-machine gun punch only connectable to ultra in the corner or anywhere on screen

it isnt even confirmed IF those moves are connectable…

Or at least it isnt confirmed that ex machine gun puts the opponent in a juggle state…

Why would you want to link an ex machine gun punch to ultra when you could just ex dread kick and get the full ultra instead of just a juggle.

its like if you were to play as balrog and do the juggle ultra when you can do the jab link to ultra every time. it does more damage so why do it the other way?

Maybe for a sweet ST throwback you could do EX machine gun > ultra and it would dizzy like every goddamn time.

unless you want Ex upper focus cancel F.Dread Kick

im thinking
opponet in corner
L.Max >>>>dash>>J.Mk>>>C.lp,c.lp,c.mp>>>EX dread>>ultra

hopefully max out has speed based priorities

Sexy.

Ultra seems to miss in corner. Check the Street Fighter Club Videos

Wow thanks guys! I really didn’t think many people would like the siggy as there really isn’t much on there. I’m glad freekill is using it as an avatar. Gives me a warm feeling somehow :lovin:

dont forget about damage reduction. i hope they take it out but still if its in then chances are

J.Mk > C.mp > EX Dread > Ultra does more.

maybe his second ultra will be better comboable after a juggle but I dont see why anyones concerned about comboing the ultra when we have EX Dread to crumple them.

correct me if im wrong but i dont think a single ultra in SF4 (except maybe vegas) would miss when you got a crumple. maybe if you tried it after a machine gun punch it would miss but why go for the ultra then when you could get the EX Dread in later?

It seems to miss in the video but that could be probably just because he did it late in the crumple stun.

haha ^^ sry not to have asked but it is just so damn nice ^^

No worries at all. Please use it for as long as you like! If Capcom put out more images of Dee Jay I might try to do more stuff with them in the coming months. I hope they bring in Dudley aswell. I’d like to make an all black SF sig with Dee Jay Dudley and Balrog.

If you do that, I’ll be the first to rock it.

As for doing Machinegun Upper juggle ultra over EX Dread Kick crumple Ultra, maybe the person didn’t have the charge for the dread kicks? I mean, they said Machinegun Upper was a mash move now, right? If you only had a partial charge or something, but managed to tag someone with the upper, I bet you could finish the charge during the upper and tag em with the Ultra afterward (assuming upper or ex upper puts the opponent in a juggle state).
