If deejay was - 3 on a low invincible lk sobat, that would instantly make him OP. I mean not a single other character has safe moves on block right…
God forbid giving him his reversal that can be fadc’d or comboed into ultra… Nooooooo way that’s way to good. No one has that. Worst character to top 3 instantly.
I don’t think FADC on his EX Upkicks would be good anyway, not to mention he’s airborne so it’d look weird.
-4 is fair, LK Sobat shouldn’t be something you can throw out like a brain dead Ken mashing SRK. Considering it has it’s original utility of beating lows as well.
Anyway, I’m loving him in 1.04. Dragging my balls through 1.03 and such improved my game so much, now he has two new shiny tools I’ve just gotten a hell of a lot better. I hit 3000pp yesterday and I haven’t played for weeks lololololol. EX Upkicks is easily my favourite buff considering I wanted it so bad back in original Ultra. Wake-up finally demands some form of thought other than “Low profile low attack, he’s optionless.” So I’m thinking a couple of his match-ups have become slightly better now? He isn’t free on wake-up, that has to count for something.
I’m over my original salt from the changes, he’s not mid-tier but he can hold his own again.

Needs his cl.hp, cl.hk, and ex.mgu fixed. I think giving him an ex slasher that doesn’t count towards the 1 fireball on screen limit would make a difference in some of his bad matchups. If they fixed cl.hp’s whiffing on crouching and made it do a ton of stun like gief’s headbutt that would be pretty interesting.
Raurik, I mean no disrespect here, but after playing both a very solid Blanka and a very solid Guile player in long sets across a couple nights, this entire thing made me literally laugh out loud.
My secret to the Guile m/u is walk up throw. Def feels like 7-3, could be 6-4 with a good handle on your opponent though since if you can get inside with a blocked knee shot you’ve suddenly got a chance. Put on the damage, then back off and play the D game where Guile has just as tough of a time getting inside. Hard to hit a knee shot against anyone that’s remotely expecting it but if you can break their focus with the threat of walk up throw it can help work the knee in there. This is all online though, I can’t even imagine where I’d start offline.
