First things first, can Obama really win, or was Iowa just a fluke and is there no way in hell his black ass is seeing the Democratic nod?
If Hillary wins the Democratic nod, can SHE win, being a female? Or will America vote against a woman no matter who the Republican male candidate might be?
Yeah, I was brought back down to earth after the 04 elections. Ignore the media hyperbole surrounding Hillary/Obama and the path the US is headed is downright morbid.
Anyone remember Enki on this forum? He called the 04 elections with brutal accuracy, before the media jumped on the ‘Red vs Blue’ divide…
honestly i think obama has a better chance in winning the national election because independents are flocking to vote for him in the primaries…
IMO it seems like a lot of democrats are voting for hillary, and thats fine but during the national race it seems like democrats don’t get out and vote.
it seems like it takes crossover republicans and independents to vote a democrat in office…and i don’t think they’re going to vote for hillary at all. they’ve already shown that they’ll vote for obama (see: iowa).
republicans have to worry a lil more if obama is the democratic nominee IMO. democrats have to worry a lil more if hillary is the nominee because of someone like mccain or huckabee who independents would vote for and republicans would flock to (rather than vote against their party)…
Hillary Clinton wouldn’t lose cause she’s a chick. She’ll lose cause she’s a bitch. She’s a carpet bagger with no experience. Being the president’s wife and a freshman senator doesn’t mean you’re qualified to be president. Also if you look at her policies they’re far more liberal than Bill Clinton’s. Bill Clinton was a centerist and if you look at his financial policies he was a fiscal convservative. If democrats really wanted a change they wouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton, there’s nothing more politics as usual than a Clinton. She’ll say whatever it takes to get votes and is as insincere as a politician gets.
Yes but using that logic then we might as well say we never have a minority president. It’ll just have to be a stepping stone type of thing.
Qualified? Last time I checked all you had to be was 35 or older and a natural born citizen. As far as her being experienced enough… idk. You could argue either way she is or isn’t. I see her as just another big government big business politician spewing anti big government rhetoric to distract from it. She is an extension of the establishment imo and really wouldn’t make that big a difference. Especially with Iraq considering she is the biggest receiver of funds from the Defense industry.
honestly though a lot of ppl i talk to feel like hillary has a lot of experience and more than obama.
a lot of ppl also buy into the idea that america isn’t ready for a black president.
a lot of the ppl saying that are black…and young. and they’re hearing it from older black ppl. obama’s camp really has to get out there and address that situation. he really does have to get out there and talk about what he’s done in his political career so far IMO.
me personally, i was officially done with hillary when her phony ass “cried” on tv to get more votes. dunno about bill anymore either. calling obama a kid and a fairy tale…and i’m sick of white ppl referring to him as the first black president, too. i’m also sick of black ppl that gave him that title and continue to run with it.
edit
obama really needs or needed to get in there and address these issues with the black church in the south. seems like a lot of them aren’t fucking with obama at all…
In terms of Republican I think Ron Paul should win after I saw this video.A Soldier in Iraq talks about Ron Paul wanting the soldiers to get out vs Huckabee’s plan of the Soldier’s staying in Iraq fighting for bullshit “Honor”.Interesting video

Having said that,I’m Democrat so I’ll probably end up voting for Obama
I dont know why but I have the feeling that as long as Mccain doesn’t become the republican candidate, Dems should have an easy win. I can’t see any of the other republican candidates compete. However, i think Mccain has a chance of beating hillary because she is too polarizing. You either love her or hate her. Mccain and Obama would be a good race. I think they would keep the mud slinging to a minimum.
Well Obama is currently all up ons this shit, coming away with an even number of votes from New Hamp is really good news because a serious loss there would have overthrown anything he started in Iowa. Also whether you like Kerry or not, him giving Obama the recommendation is an amazing bonus for Obama. Now many of the hardline-demi’s should step in line and vote for Obama.
