Option selects. These are from reasonable game situations. It’s possible for these to work on more characters, but it might require weird crossup empty jump shorts and stuff and I’m looking for consistency here.

Whats cool about this is that it’ll beat wakeup 3f moves, and you can confirm cr.lk, st.lk, cr.lp, cr.mk if he happens to get hit.

So Ves, the option select ---- c.short, sweep will not work on Zangief? I was getting worked the other evening by a local Gief who would on wakeup backdash then SPD. I got caught so many times but his backdash was so free on wakeup.

It’s possible to os a few more characters with sweep just not consistently.

I need to test os st.mp, hk, and hp still, but iirc they all work on gief.

So do you plink cr lk cr hk to utilize this OS?

cr.hp, st.lp, cr.hp fadc, cl.mp, cr.hp, hp sting does 394/690 works on Sagat so far alternate ender of cl.mp, cr.mp, far mp xx hp sting does 392/662

Wouldn’t s.hp, c.hp, fadc be better for scaling omitting the jab

Also you can c.hp, far s.mp xx hp stinger now

you get 18 more damage but 62 less stun. I value the stun higher. Also the cr.hp starter is more realistic

cr.lp, wait 1-2f~, nj.hp(os b.throw) safejumps ex tt/ex cod, armor cancel TT whiffs, ex falling sky trades, EX roll gets os thrown. If DWU can instant overhead jb.lp to beat db, tt’s, loses to ex falling sky and ex cod/can jb ex spiral to beat backdash, TTS, loses to ex falling sky and EX COD.

Primary Post BNB setup(Daggers)

Walk ambig j.hp. Makes all his reversals whiff. If no quickrise immediate nj.HP and it turns into the 2nd RES setup.

Can replicate the above setup for DWU with an immediate cr.mk then jumping. If they don’t DWU you can react to that, then work in ex scramble/overhead mixups.

jf.hk, os b.throw EX TT whiffs, EX Falling Sky is stuffed or whiffed, safejumps EX COD, Armor Cancel TT whiffs, throws EX Roll, loses to backdash. Can change os to cover backdash instead of EX Roll.

cr.lp, mk scramble immediate hk divekick(os b.throw). stuffs ex tt/u1, armor cancel tt whiffs, os throw covers ex roll, backdash avoids os throw, loses to ex COD(40 damage). If Abel has no meter os cr.hp or target combo

cr.lp, hk scramble divekick. (depending on height/version can get all sorts of options.) immediate LK = whiffs vs. back, crossups up downback, forwards block and you land behind. Probably your best option for representing a crossup out of this option tree as it’s much safer than hp break

walk back, walk forward, HK Scramble MK Divekick Usually only blockable one way, will cause reversals to whiff. If you anticipate a back teleport, you can MK scramble j.hk instead into a jumpin combo! I recommend only doing 2 mediums back into RES. This can be somewhat baited with U2 and even just using Kick teleport though so keep it in mind.

i started balrog and accidentally deleted it about 3/4’s of the way done. oops

vs. Yun

holding focus through far mp xx shoulder xx RFC will cause the RFC to whiff. you can punish with u2, walk up into a combo, or even a scramble divekick into a combo.

this is also possible staring from a blocked st.mp wtih reversal scramble, where the rfc will whiff.

This is a pretty hard read, you’re better off usually reaction lp/ex stinging the far mp if it’s in range to be punished as it will cover both cancel/not cancel, but it’s something to keep in mind if you are focusing vs. him.

Vs. Rufus

cr.lk, cr.lk, cr.lp, cr.mp xx HP Psycho and cl.lp, cr.mp, cr.mp sting hits meaty when he’s crouching

off of a crossup ex strike you can do cr.lp, cr.lk, cr.lp, cr.mp or the inconsistent cl.lp, cr.mp cr.mp(jab tends to whiff off of him being in reel animation)

off of a frontside ex strike you can do cl.lp, cr.mp, cr.mp xx MP Sting
