I can’t front when i was reading the manga Mello is and will always be my boy over Near–I like Near also just because he’s crazy smart but Mello is everything but what his name implies.

Is it me or they took off a scene where Shiido was taking off helmets of cops so they can get killed by Mello.

This is a good thread. I am shocked it took me this long to find it. I have been reading death note and watching it for over a course of 3 months now. I have completed volume 11 and watched up to episode 15 of the anime. I am waiting for the official us release of volume 12 to see how everything ends up finally. I can barely wait. I noticed not many people in this thread liked the Deathnote movies. I liked them but the order of preference is the Anime first, the manga second and the movie third. I do like the angle that is worked out in the movie that isn’t worked out in the manga or anime. I have been trying to figure out how many total episodes of the anime there will be. I heard between 34 and 37. I read in anime proto culture it will end sometime at the end of June. One more thought. For those interested they episodes are being dubbed for a english release in late summer, and currently if you want to purchase the official subs they are available on the net somewhere, but I forgot where.

jeez, I wasn’t expecting that at ALL, Light double dating and now telling the new Kira what to do. That guy looked like he was about to flip, and I wonder how they are going to find Near and Mello if at all.
Damn the suspense is at a all time high right now. I should have just waited and not read the manga.

I just read the entire manga and it was a blast. Near was cool, even if he wasn’t that unique.
I also enjoyed the movies. Were they both ‘made-for-tv’ movies? It seemed that way.
About the Movies i dunno i’ve read all the manga and i watch the anime–i havent checked the movies yet though. Pm me a link so i can check em.
I had a chance to get both right when i first started watching the anime but i didnt want to spoil anything because i felt that death note was just too good to spoil.
