So I just started to watch death note, I’m on episode 11, just wanted to know where do the movie fit in?
got done watch ep 2 and this anime seems like it rushs into things. like how can L. just give a guess that someone is writing someones names down kill them? I dont know if I should keep watching this anime it seems ok at best.
The first movie do a introduction about the Death Note, shows the experiences Raito did with the book, and goes till he mets “L”.
The second movie goes from when Raito joins the investigation team till what happen in episode 25 of the anime. (not exact the same ending by the way)
please lets keep the movie out of this thread, its hard to even watch horrible.

I’d say I’m pretty new to Death Note and I’m enjoying it alot. Shame it’s almost over in a few months but still a fantastic series.
I’d rather it end in a reasonable amount of episodes, then go on for 100+ episodes. Then I can look back on it and say, “That was a nice, short anime series that didn’t consume my whole life.” And I’ll be able to watch it again, because it’s short.
100+?? hell no. under 50 episodes please. End it like Full Metal Alchemist’s length.
That’s the reason why i hate Naruto sometimes…over 150+ and becoming like DBZ. I love naruto though.
He prolly had lot’s of theorys. Then tested one on the con and it worked.
Im liking near(?) kinda like L. The character mello(?) hmm not so much.
I liked both death note movies. There will only be 2 as the second movie ends awesomely.

L fakes his own death and catches Light in the act of killing ppl off with the note book. Light was all like “Pics or it didnt happen.” L walks in and the whole shit was recorded. Light pretty much goes out the same way as the manga. Light even wrote down his fathers name in the Death note. Anyway the movie ends with L winning. Which I thought made the whole thing worth it.
I was a Light fan too through the whole manga, thats why I didnt want to watch the Anime cause I didnt like the manga ending. They just didnt do Light justice. I might DL all the eps now cause a lot of ppl are digging the anime.
Death note ep 30(?) is crazy!
I wanted to ask, is the anime following the manga to the tee? Or is there some filler added in?
It is following the manga closely, but the anime does it’s scenes in non-chronological order.
There is also more Misa fanservice in the manga too. ~_~
i feel sad that the great suspense from the first 10 episodes is gone, replaced by some bullshit (the “light in jail” shit was unbearable), but will keep watching because if i dont i will feel like i’m missing out. someone recommended me to watch monster and i’ve definitely felt that that has been a lot more rewarding, albeit much more subtle
