Well when you talk to teenagers they think with their emotions and not their heads. I’d use the Death Note personally for personal vendettas. The thing is, there’s no way it’s trackable so I’m safe from any and all law enforcement. It doesn’t matter if they catch me using the Death Note because such a thing cannot be held up in a court of law.

Anyway, I really like this series. The Death Note is more of a plot device than anything; the real attraction is the battle of wits and how it all plays out. For a series featuring fantasy elements like demons, underworld, Death Notes, there is a still a strong realism to it. Just goes to show that even if Death Notes were to exist, that there are strong consequences to using it; and power can’t be abused with impunity.
People in general, not just teenagers, run on their emotions.
True, the court case would not stand in court. (That’s where I hope Death Note story goes, but I know it won’t) But it would be an interesting case.
No.His premise I guess for the most part was okay when he first started out by only killing guys that were on deathrow.At the point where he killed the fake L,and started killing petty criminals was the point where he crossed on to being nothing more than a common Serial Killer.
The most I would use it for,is to kill people I don’t like(People that seem to have issues with me)
I can’t see myself using it for anything more than personal gain. I wouldn’t be able to kill off random people like Light does. Well, they’re not random, but you know what I mean. If I was to kill criminals, it would be the real psychos.
There’s also the fact that a shinigami is going to be my shadow for the rest of my life. If it was Ryuk, I’d have no problem with that, really. Does he even sleep? @_@

A question regarding an episode:When,Light has Raye Penber kill off those 12 FBI agents. Light needs a name and a face to kill them off, right? How did Light see the FBI agents face’s to kill them off when all he had was their names written down on a page ripped out from the Death Note?

IIRC Penbar has a laptop.Light tells Penbar to look carefully at each person as he rights the names down(In essence Penbar is killing each one of his partners as he rights their name down).I’ll watch the episode again if I can,but if I remember correctly that us what happend.

The anime is doing a fantastic job, they are just running through manga chapters like nothing. I cant wait to see 14 in a couple of days.
Death Note was a great manga, watched the first ep of the the anime, seems like a pretty good adaptation so far, i might have to dl this series.
