Death Note 1.0

what is the speical about? just recap of the series?

anyone know a list of release dates for the dvds? i have vol.1 and 2; i know volume 2 came out on december 18…

so i guess im the only one following the series on adult swim???

I WANNA TALK ABOUT DEATH NOTE! RRAWWWWWWWR

I’m watching the Dub.

Much less work with the same satisfaction.

I REALLY want to see the last ep in english. Chances of much LAWL = High

anyone catch the extra death note chapter that was released (not the “How To Read” chapter)? It’s up on onemanga.com. Although it doesn’t really have anything to do with the main storyline, it’s still a pretty interesting read.

Just as planned… :badboy:

I hated the ending, in fact I didnt care for Near or Memo

Serisouly, it’s gonna sound so bad. Instead of Mikami saying “Sakujo” he’s gonna be saying “Eliminate”. I’m gonna laugh hard at the last few episodes.

this saturday’s episode

I don’t understand why light buried his death note, if he eventually tells Ryuk to “get rid of it”

and what happened to Misa’s deathnote when it was given up?

I said that ages ago, yeah I don’t think that can be captured well. This is coming from someone who doesn’t mind the dubs. lol @ Sakujoygasm turning into Eliminategasm.

**SAKUJYO~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!!**

Yea, the only way they can make it work is if they say what Sakujo means at the top of the screen. There is no way you can recreate the intensity with eliminate because he’ll sound like a damn robot.

I’ve recently gotten back in to Death Note. I read the series when the manga was first released, but then it fell off for me. I got most of the way through the L arc, never finished it. Of course that was all ruined when I took a trip to japan and saw how huge it was there, it was impossible to avoid the spoilers.

I’m not too disappointed with the dub to be honest. I know someone exploded about how horrible it was, but there have been much much worse ones. At least nowadays they’re putting some effort in to them, back in the day that shit was horrible. I know for a fact that if Tenchi Muyo was just coming out I would flip over how shitty his voice is, but since I started watching that shit back in the day I’m used to it and actually like it.

Anywho, dubs are okay with me, as long as they aren’t completely horrible. I’m too lazy to go out and get the subs anyways. They kind of grow on you. I almost want to go get the complete manga and read it through, but then I’d have to find it.

i agree with the above poster. The dub could be worse. At first I hated L’s english voice cuz it sounded too old, but yeah it’s grown on me.

The new one shot chapter was pretty boss. It’s cool to see Near as an older kid, and how he’s developing.

And his card-castle is god tier. Shit was intricate.

They’ll probably change it to “die”.

It’s the same context.

I can’t stand watching anything in jap, even DBZ,their voices are way too high, and plus, reading the text doesnt give me a good picture of the scenes and makes it harder for me to connect to the characters.

but anyways, L is too funny, especially when he met light at the university(when misa would eventually show up)

L (happy voice)“Ah!, Hey light!” * (normal voice) “How’s it going.”

finished one shot.
it was ok i only like how ryuk got them apples and that the new one ate a banana haha

What?! Where can I find this gem?!!!:wow:

Possible, but I’ve noticed that they’ve been quite exacting in how they treat the translations.

^^^

its up on onemanga.com

it’s nothing more than a side story really, but it gives a little insight on Near and L’s personality.
