its not trying to do anything that hasnt been tried a million times already, it was interesting for a while but will only be remembered as the black version of daikatana
I actually really like the cheesy try-hard setting of the game. I love that 90ās Image comics vibe I get from it, though, what I like the most is the music. I remember that we could hear a preview of almost all the cast of the game in Necroās channel, but suddenly it was taken down last year. Such a shame, since I loved Arachnoās theme the most, and now I cant find it anywhere. I know that the deluxe package had the OST included; anyone at least have that? Iām living in a synthwave world, and I need it.
Iām surprised that no one here mentioned that the alien gun from the Hitman char is a photoshop so crude of a goliath tigerfish, that the only thing you need to see it, is google search the name.
Such a shame that the devs turned up to be like this; I was really hype for this game so many years, and now we only have this bugfestā¦ I can only wish that all this pressure from everyone will make that attitude and pride into rage-fuel to work and fix this goddamn game. I canāt help but love how bad it is.
That is soooo fucking weird I just youtubed a Daikatana playthrough like a hour ago
im impressed
Holy shit those jumps.
Wow, i think itās obvious they intended to create a pyramid scheme, by funneling money from a false release in order to continue development on this title. Iāve seen alphas with less bugs more well done with minimal funding developed under a year. Theyāve had 3 fucking years to create a damn fighting game with quite a bit of financial contributions. .
Two characters on a screen, a background, and music. Thatās it!
Instead we get this? Are you kidding me?
Iām so glad we blew this up, otherwise people would be waiting at least another 6 months to get their hands on it.
Kotaku forced their hand to release this giant bomb that is clearly not ready to see the light of day, and all from a childish company who intended to take more money under false pretenses. What a mockery.
So is anyone gonna money match me in this at Evo or whhat
Iāve already mastered agent Malcolm. I disappear and you canāt find me. Then I make all of plasmaās sound effects to make you think Iām someone else. Then the game crashes and I Uninstall it.
GG
If someone actually brings a working Death Cargo setup, I might actually put a few bucks in just to say I did.
Besides, I bet Silent has frametraps for days.
i wonder if Daigo picks this game. #Kappa
All hypothetical of course.
In a pyramid scheme, an organization (Necrostorm) compels individuals (excited people and stupid fatty liar loser trolls) to make a payment and join (acquire download link and wait for shipment to arrive). In exchange, the organization promises its new members a share of the (Unlimited download for all eternity) money taken from every additional member that they recruit. (By funding the with additional support similar to a Ponzi scheme) The directors of the organization (those at the top of the pyramid ie in this hypothetical Necrostorm) also receive a share of these payments. (All of it)For the directors, (Necrostorm) the scheme is potentially lucrative ā whether or not they do any work. Such organizations seldom involve sales of products or services with real value.
It has potential in the same way a public toilet has the potential to give you genital warts
Are these official in-game cutscenes?
They talk to us like we have no idea about software, for real. What they said doesnāt even make sense.
In its āREALā form?
So now even necrostorm is calling the game FAKE? ā¦ strange turn of events.
Is it even possible for a server to give you corrupted files? They are desperately trying to patch the game in their quarters but dont want to say it. Isā¦ kinda sad really. ):
Couple things Iād like to point out here:
-
If there is supposedly missing code, then the game should probably not work at all. Multimedia Fusion does not, to my knowledge, allow you to load code from a DLL/.so. Even if it did, Iām willing to bet the gameās a single-file executable anyway. Having corrupt data/code in a single-file executable should almost certainly result in an instant crash or invalid executable.

This could all be solved really quickly if they gave out MD5 checksums so people would have something to check their downloaded copies against. For obvious reasons (there is no āREAL formā), theyāre not going to do that.
Actually, Iād be pretty interested to see people run an MD5 checksum on their copies anyway. Weād be able to see if the separate copies different people have are in fact different or not, and thus able to prove whether there is any DRM on this game (which I highly doubt).
Iām gonna buy this, it looks sick.
Wish me luck!
I doubt that anyoneās versions are different. Itās just a way for them to save face and buy some more time to finish working on the game.
I could imagine the jim jams that would be rustled if kotaku did a follow up story saying how everyone has the same md5 checksum. LOL
