Death Cargo

Multimedia Fusion is closed source so it’s impossible to add their own code.

Holy shit at that load time. That’s worse then Sega CD games! The optimization has to be horrible.

Plasma looks like if a Who from the Grinch cosplayed as K’ from KoF.

So, is it safe to assume they didn’t do any modification at all?

Probably , since it’s using Fusion there is no real drm.

So (i know VERY little about Multimedia Fusion), what could have been done to implement this supposed “unique copy for each customer”? I’d guess nothing, unless this “unique copy” thing is using a different but recognizable texture in each copy they compile (i remind them claiming something about this texture “signature” thing.

Laziest way is rename a txt file with who order it. Like instead of NAMES.TXT it’s THISISNOWAYATXTFILE.BIN

Also, I know old Fusion just compile to one exe so what you said and actually compiled each game and have place where they inserted the name or code for the name in the scripting to know who leaked it. While possible how this team acts like a bunch of 12 year olds would be giving them too much credit.

Following your example, shouldn’t be easy for pirates to analyze the game code, find where the Customer ID is located and erase it or change it with something like “Lolzatyourdrm”?

If it’s literally just the name it would be super easy.

someone gotta hook us up with a crack, please.

Although looking at the gameplay videos, they ripping people off. The game is not complete at all and as shit as Big Rigs. That’s it! It’s the Big Rigs of fighting games.

I’m thinking they watermark the screen with a unique code that can be used to identify you. So whoever posted that image didn’t want to get threatened with fake law suits

Let’s suppose for a moment there was no shitstorm, that the developers delivered regular updates (i don’t know, once or twice a month), worked in a decent manner and weren’t put in a position do be forced to release what looks like a beta. Let’s suppose that the development went ok and the game came out as something that could have been a decent fighting game, that they had given the press copies for reviews, good PR and all was fine and dandy. Let’s even suppose that the only thing they over-hyped was this new “Superior Anti-Piracy Tecnology”.

If i had to guess, the overall reaction would have been “Oh, breaking the DRM is easy as getting drunk while playing Vodka Checkers (pretty much the italian equivalent of Beer Pong, just more alcoholic), that’s a bummer.” or something like that, right?

Anyway, i kinda feel some sort of pity for this (supposedly) easily crackable DRM system.

The game still would have been shit. They were erasing people concerned about their purchase not coming in the mail, you think they would be receptive of patching the system?

These guys had no right to be making games. The customer service was nightmaric.

If this were all true and their attitude wasn’t garbage, I would have bought it and done videos on it, just like i did Skullgirls,KoF and SF maybe stream it some, and if i liked it played it past thatLooks doubtful from the footage so far, But would have slammed it for the DRM since i’m very anti drm especially this intrusive. All in all, a good attitude can get you a very long way.

WTH, this game isn’t even worthy of an Early Access title. Has this game even reached Alpha stage? Shit looks like it’s still be compiled through a visual arts tool or something. If a game takes That long to load, we got a problem.

I know right? the fuck is it loading? A secret door to Narnia?

Did anybody download the original Beta footage videos before they took them down? If so I’ll give you an FTP site and I’d love if you’d upload 'em for me.

To further add, they weren’t even forced to release a beta/alpha, because they “released” the game months ago. The demos were supposed to be the alphas and betas, the actual release was supposed to be a generally “finished” game, save maybe a few bugs here and there as all games have these to some degree. All this shitstorm did was expose the fact they basically were gonna sell people a fucking alpha product of a game. When you can’t even do shit like correcting a lifebar glitch(character’s name not showing up properly) and have stages with names like “Tokio Skyline”, you fucked up.

I wanna say this game has potential, because it does, but watching it just changes my mind constantly…

It is funny that the demo was more stable
