Exactly. I rather have an actor who can act and meet the character half way then have a mass of muscle who canāt act for shit.
Everyone forgets how much comic books will exaggerate body proportions.
To me Josh Brollinās Cable is every bit grizzled old war veteran, which is more true to the spirit of the comic than Kevin Nash can ever be.
Get Rekt
Those roles Nash was in was terrible and you should feel terrible for thinking they are good.
lololol I never explicitly stated they were good movies, merely mentioned movies he was in.
donāt twist words to fit your argument man.
Also, you should feel terrible that you said that what i said was bullshit and thought that I should feel terrible for thinking that those were good.
Get Rekt. er.
Even terrible actors can be good if given roles that plays to their strengths. Look at Batista in Guardians. Batista as an actor is absolute shit but as Drax all that was required of him is to look intimidating, occasionally say a quirky line and the character is emotionally stilted so he didnāt need to act.
^this.
itās also the directorās job to basically guide the actors on how to be effective and serve the story rather than the imagery.
generally, itās the visuals that take a back seat to a really compelling narrative.
Till really recently Drax whole Modus operandi was Kill Thanos (comics) or kill Ronan (Films).
Drax is a emotionally stilted, revenged driven Beef Cake.
Cable is big but he isnāt a beef cake. I be supervised if Film Cable donāt say āWar, War never changesā.
Cableās thing was never being the Ox Drax Cable is the grizzled old war veteran from the future. Cable is this guy who been battling in war and a life threatening illness since he was a baby.
Cable isnāt a bad ass because he is built like a brick shit house, Cable is a bad ass as He been though Hell and back and came out on top.
Except he actually worked his ass off to become a better actor in general, so taking that away from him to try and prove your point is pretty bullshit.
