Deadpool's Creator Defended the Movie Version of Domino From Irate Haters
In a pretty brutal way, actually.

i think its interesting to watch people try and say she needs to be white. nothing about the character implies its a normal skintone
Except for the numerous times she’s been shown wearing less clothing, and still having the same paint white skin all over.
That’s not what he meant. The white skin is apart of her mutation.
Maybe being black is her mutation now.
Just like RockB.

thats not my point…its paint white not normal skin white. Neither had any bearing on the character at all besides just look. it she could be fuckin bright yellow…same character, same history.
Same can be said about many black characters yet we don’t make them white.

I am not sure about the Original comics, 80s cartoon Baxter is White, Original Films was White, 2003 Show was Black, Michale Bay Films Baxter was Black, I don’t know about the new Nick toons TMNT Baxter.
Baxter is what ever the writers need him to be. His he Human, mutant Fly, a Human mind in a Computer, some weird alien looking thing, ect.

he’s originally a black character who got turned white for the 80s show/original movies which is what most people remember. why would you even comment if you had no clue about the original format of the character when the whole discussion was about comic characters changing ethnicities?

I actually wanted to know as I didn’t know how Baxter was on the OG Comic.
I think they made him white in the 80s cartoon as they didnt want to have a minority as a villain.
But they didn’t bother making any supporting cast a person of color ether.
Baxter was definitely black in the original comics.
Usagi Yojimbo was asian
Shredder was asian
Those bayou frogs were black
Lee Meriwether… Mmmhmmm.
Baxter Stockman is black as the ace of spades.
As someone who read the read the comics Making him white in the originl cartoon confused the shit out of me as a child
Usagi Yojimbo was asian
Shredder was asian
Those bayou frogs were black
LOL
Usagi Yojimbo is Japanese and the name is Japanese.
Shredder is Japan as well.
The Punk Frogs are literally from Florida

I don’t know why anyone treats Liefield like an authority when it comes to these characters. He’s not the reason why the characters became beloved.

maybe not but hes a big reason why you get to see them on film. so i feel like he deserves some respect from a creator standpoint. its easy to shit on him for his art, but lets remember…hes created some of the most memorable comic characters ever and he still has a voice and following still.
As small as Valiant is, I like that the costumes look much better than a lot of those from Marvel. I hope this does well, Ninjak is a good book.

There is a Valiant thread.
Also Ninjak, more like ninjerk with their B-movie budget.

Because no one cares for your Valiant B-tier comics being adapted to a budget c-tier webseries
That Yuugi AV is fire tho.
