Cable is a great character. Don’t get me wrong, but his overall history has way too much story to process to truly appreciate his character on the big screen. Like, what possible storyline could Deadpool 2 introduce where Cable would not only fit in well upon introduction, but the story of which would be easily understood by the target audience? Don’t forget that Deadpool was a origin story meets revenge plotline. Cable is a time traveling mutant with a plethora of things going on with him. How they introduce him will be interesting.
So you don’t explain or address Cable’s history as a time traveling mutant with a techno-virus, which stems from Apocalypse who will be the central villain in this upcoming X-Men movie. He just sort of appears and goes along with Deadpool’s schticke? What significance would he hold then? Just be a Colossus 2.0 but meaner? I don’t know. We’ll see what they do but a character of his significance needs to receive some kind of focus.
The rating isn’t even part of Wolvie’s problems. Matter of fact up until the Third Act, The Wolverine was quite solid…and the Third Act being bad had nothing to do with its rating.
Eh, his killings don’t need to be any more visceral or anything. He just needs less shit storytelling…which ironically is on par with his comics incarnation.
I love that little jab at suicide squad. They totally did a guardians with their trailer. Suicide squad had like 3 different trailers. Just trying to wide cast the audience.
James gunn is pretty pretentious, but hes right. Also, hollywood is just filled with a bunch of untalented people too. They just somehow find, or fuck their way up. Like what happened with gotg and deadpool isnt fucking rocket science.
