think of it this way. if they can roll out of it, that means they have touched the ground hence OTG (on the ground). now if they LAND on your attack, then they havent touched the ground and hence its a juggle. catch my drift?

Set the opponent to auto-roll. A juggle prevents rolling.
Yeah, that’s what got me thinking in the first place. They land on your c.lk so close to the ground it still seems OTG, but now I know it’s not.
Am I missing something about frames?
I looked around, and I saw BH’s standing RH kick takes 9 frames, but Magneto’s lk take 1 frame.
I was playing a bunch of marvel matches against someone starting BH, and neither of used used the prebuffer glitch, yet his blackhearts RH beat my magneto’s lk every time the match started.
Any ideas? I know hwo to fight the blackheart, I just dont get why his RH > lk.
It’s his c.lk. Maybe you have exceedingly poor timing?
Either poor timing or possibly Blackhearts standing RH’s animation makes it so your c.lk doesn’t reach. More than likely the former, since I haven’t heard anything like that from Marvel [the out of range thing].
can you guys give me tips/mixups/strategy on what to do if someone push blocks the first attack of your tri-jump? magneto really sucks from far away and everytime i get close, any good player push blocks which fucks up closure and mixup game. with the rise of santhrax players, even if i was able to stay close i usually catch Capcom to the face. i’ve tried staying away to bait, but storm/sent just never want to attack magneto. should i just give up mags vs santhrax? or perhaps you guys can give me some tips?
It doesn’t matter how many frames the move is, it has to with how the hit box changes when you do certain moves. So Bh’s s.RH isn’t faster than mag’s c.lk , the move is beating you out because it’s going over your c.lk the same thing happens if you would try to do the switch glitch against Iron Man’s s.RH.
gotta love IM’s s.rh’s anti-c.short factor. makes complete sense for BH cuz doesnt he lift his leg up?
How does one air dash or flies through the magnetic shockwave? I’ve seen it done a few times intentionally in matches and I’m kinda curious about it.
you have to have an assist out. you want to pass through the specific shockwave at the exact same time that your assist gets hit
Whats some good strategies for rowtron vs santhrax
the first battle mag vs storm is of HUGE importance in this match. mainly because BOTH teams are at a big advantage/disadvantage when the first character dies.
think what would a G santhrax want to do to your mag…beat your mag and save the dhc of death for cable.
what would you wanna do vs santhrax…rape storm and alpha counter xx beamage on sentinel. and if he is aware and doesn’t c.fp or s.fp lock you down…how hard is it to rape that? even if your mag only has a fifth of his life? if sentinel isn’t doing c.fp or s.fp chances are that you could get in easily or tag cable in safely (via right into a capcom blast or something ya know?)
basically i would say just pull out EVERYTHING to beat storm…if she keeps rushing into cable, take her to the corner cross up hypergrasp setups off of cable aaa’s. if you just hit her randomly high in sj state, hypergrasp tempest her. if her patterns are just too safe, but she is leaving her assist open, try to punish her assist HARD, ONE TIME. (maybe call rp, jumping fp rh, wait, er disruptor resets…its fairly safe, about as safe as u can get for that much dmg)
this might sound funny but i wouldn’t advise snapping cap in if you have team row as your cable should take care of sentinel/cap. so cap wont be a thorn in your ass, or shouldn’t, i think storm would be the pain in row’s ass. storm is the one that can run from your whole team safely. pull out all the stops to raping her! and u shud win =)
Kill storm. If Cap is hurt enough from counter RP calls, then snap him in if you have the chance. Otherwise kill that bitch so she can’t DHC either mag or cable to death [Cable especially].
If you can’t catch storm at all and are just off on your game, build a little meter then tag in sent whenever she’s flying up in the sky. Beam + mag assist xx fly xx unfly adds up, even if she’s running. You don’t always have to play row in order, reverse row can work a lot better in certain situations.
If she spams sent, throw cable out and send him out of the game for a few seconds. That gives you enough time to play 1v1 against storm without her added advantage of having drones fuck up your trijumps.

try baiting a ahvb by calling your assist then sj, sometimes cable’s will think you juss called them but if you had intention on sj then the beam will not catch you. and sometimes you just have to LET cable beam your characters, but try to bait him to do it evenly! so like 2 beams on your sentinel and one on your cable…but if you use this method, you CAN NOT get hit by cable with your point character, if you use that method you are basically saying you are going to hit him before he hits you. you are just trying to unload him and make him not as dangerous.
another thing to do on cable’s is when they jump back when magnus gets close to them, he gets to gb them a lot of the time (sj.lk, ad/df lk lk)
basically best advice to give anyone to beat a good cable i believe is be patient. i have yet to see a cable chip somebody’s whole life bar, just sit back and block and wait for an opening…cable gets tired of you blocking eventually =)
Thank you for the reply. But its hard getting in on a good cable that covers himself effectively with his assists. And when you finally do get near him when he’s coming down from a jump he pulls out that pesky j.hk…
YOUVE DONE IT, if you have worked hard to get in, and you KNOW he is coming down with j.rh, youve did it, youve psyced his mind! superjump up with lk’s and try hypergrasp tempest combo =) that is what he gave you, or just try to sj.lk to start infinite, but sometimes j.rh beats that shid when you try it too late
Yeah that’s the thing. Its annoying when they time it well. But that sj.lk stuff gave me quite a few ideas. Either way ill just sj.lk then addf…If he blocks,guard break…If he gets hit, itl get me under him to the other side and give me reset options…Thank you for the ideas :wgrin:
Oh yeah,and any way to get around cables at the start of the match that crouch and mash capcom? There seems to be no way to get em both at the start of a match and hope for a snap. Jumping up and add lk land c.lk,lk cant seem to get em both cause cable seems to be pushed back as capcom takes the hit. Is there anything you can recommend to make him pay for this tactic besides counter-assisting?Ive even tried tri-jumping right behind him in hopes of getting him both but he gets pushed back all the time by the assist,which takes the hit,which lets him jump away to safety.
