I don’t play too many Stri/Dooms around here… you should go ask potts about that. Most advice I can give is to kill Doom. Without him, Strider has no trap. Well, that’s not true. He can make a ghetto version of it using the drone assist. Anyway, try to kill Doom, things get much easier. And err… what does the BD stand for?
As for the c.rh, yes, it can be sj cancelled if you hit an assist. As a matter of fact, you can c.rh, then if the guy tries to save his assist, you can sj cancel and block. I’ve seen some old videos of where Deus does a c.rh, sj cancel ad.db rh, c.rh again on an assist. Ouch.
But if it’s blocked… then no. Can’t be sj canceled. That would kinda give Magneto an endless rushdown thing.
Okay, now I need some help. On console, I can do Hyper grav xx tempest w/ no problems. On Arcade, even when I know for sure I’ve motioned the right way, nothing happens, or mag just hk’s. What’s tha deal w/ dat ?!?!?
I’m sure it’s all mentioned before, but i’m just lazy to scroll through everything so if someone is nice enough to answer a few of my questions:
What is the switch glitch deal? What is it, what’s a good way to use it.
Best way to defeat Sent/Capcom, only problem I have with the game is when i face someone using Sent/Capcom stomping/assisting sh’t everywhere. I don’t have a particular team, i’m about the same w/ every team, don’t matter what team (preferably with mag somewhere in the team), best way to defeat sent/cap?
Unblockable for sentinel is which frame exactly? Unblockable for Mag c.hk, can you otg with a c.lk, c.hk, hypergrab after? Unblockable for Storm, last part of her leg on a lightning attack… what do you do after it connects?
Take your time. You don’t need to do it hella fast. A little thing that might help you is to hold the stick in the forward position while you’re doing the air combo. This makes sure you aren’t racing to put it in the right position when it’s time for the hypergrav.
Treatment X
1: :o
2: Snap in Commando. Kill him.
3: Sentinels unblockable is the ending part of his c.fp, where the beam is beginning to disappear. As for Mag, if it hits meaty, then yes. For storm, it’s not really an unblockable, it’s more like a cross up imo. Only thing you can do is a Lightning storm.
is there anything you can follow up with after the c.hk in the tripe-fierce combo at midscreen? I can’t seeme to cancel into a magnetic shockwave or anything…
-storm
This is how it works. There are two parts to the beam. The normal part, and the very end of it, which is unblockable. To get hit with it, the opponent has to wake up OR fall on the part of the beam that is dissipating (whether from a normal jump or SJ, it doesn’t matter). If timed correctly, your characters block animation gets fucked up and you get hit. It’s an insanely powerful move.
Timing for each character is different, and some characters can escape the unblockable altogether.
In the NEC vids released recently, Justin Wong has a nice way to escape it. Normally if you get blasted by Capcom into the sky, Sent has a pretty good chance of landing it on you. He got hit by the corridor a couple times, and while he was falling, he activated flight mode. I would think it’s completely safe, i.e Sent can’t do anything to you. Why? Because the unblockable timing is all fucked up, and if he tries attacking you, you can unfly AND block, since Mag got unfly mode from eating a lightning bolt. Pretty dope.

You can’t follow it up. Flying screen is activated, and so you can’t SJ, SJ cancel, do a special, or throw a super out.
BACK! :lame: hell yea got my ROM infinite down now up to 35+ and yea. I havent been in the forums as of lately so yea. I read up top that you use claw method now deadeye? haha yea it owns i use it too on my arcade stick at home. anyways got a question not sure if its been asked but yea. what’s the timing where you…
c.lk c.hp /\ sj.hk addf. FPTHROW
i can get it randomly, and i’ve been trying to practice it but is there an exact time where you press forward hp. ? thanks.
I’m not sure if this was covered in one of the other pages, but what method is easier to do the ROM infinite on a joystick? (I can do it easily on a game pad, but lately I’ve had massive trouble with it on a stick) Can anyone help me? Finger placement, slide? Claw method, which is easier to do?
Depends on what you’re really comfortable with. Me i use claw cuz thats what i’ve always practiced and got use to with. placement with claw is… place pointing and middle finger on top of 2 punches (lp and hp) and place thumb on lk. So everytime you do ROM, you press your too fingers on top to addf. then immediately press your thumb to hit lk after you’ve addf. I’m not sure if that a clear explanation of how the claw method works but i hope it somehow gave you a picture of how it is. just keep up the practice you’ll eventually get it.
The most reliable method for me is to config 1 button to 2 puncehes. . . LoLz 2 cheap. . . .
But I have a question for you guys. What are some good follow-ups for a Mag. Shockwave? I’vee seen some people do c.hk. Is this relaible? and can you follow up after c.hk (like c.hk xx sj. dash down hk ,land, c.hk, hyper grav. . . . .)?
