lk comes out quicker and is better for using if you just came down w fierce and then tri-jump immediately after. hk comes out little slower but has more priority and damage. you dont wanna tri with lk unless you already rushed the person and you try jump right in front of them. id recommend learning to tri jump hk with thumb. once you get the timing down you never have to use lk if you’re fast enough.

What is the best Mags/XXX/Psylocke team ?

aside from the other top 3, and Ironman who would be good ?

Personally I’m trying out Doom because

  1. His AAA rocks…literaly
    2.He’s one of my best characters

but him and psylocke don’t seem to be too effective when you have those “mags dies fast” games…

What do I do with mag when I get d.lk d.lk assist tronne to hit. I just usally triangle jump but is there any way to combo off of it.

Fierce attacks have more stun, though not much more than two lk’s. Lk’s come out faster, and since you can link two of them together, opponents that think you’ll go 1 high, 2 low (like 95% of the Mag users out there) will get caught by it. And of course, there is the damage difference. Tri jump lp’s supposedly have weird properties that allow it to out-prioritize certain attacks that all of Mag’s other normals would lose to.

Magnetic Hail:

As for sliding to lk, just put more pressure on your index finger. Easy.
The best Mag/xxx/psy team? Possibly M/cable/psy. Power of the AHVB with a good setup. Thing is, the team sucks ass if you’re losing. Stick with characters you’re good with… just try and make Doom/psy work. Though, imo, Cyke is way better for Doom.

Infantry:

Once you connect a c.lk + tron, c.lk, you can simply run in and c.lk, launch your opponent. Or you can time a c.rh, tri-jump rh, OTG c.rh etc. Yes, it’s rollable, but most opponents will expect you to just launch and do rh, ad.df lk, lk…

when i try to dash in and do d.lk launcher they still hit the tronne assist and dont launch right.

That’s because you’re timing it wrong. Trons assist goes hit, hit, pause, hit. Adjust it to that.

i usually trijmp with 2lks unless its superarmoed people im playing against (hk then)

the slide method of rom seems easier for me, but it was kinda weird to learn at first because my fingers kept sliding onto random buttons… practice resolved this however…

im working on ground infinites like 50more too, but the best ive gotten is 4 reps of sj ad/df lk lk on normal sized chars. aret here any tricks to getting ground infinites consistent. which is easier? lk lk or lk hk or lk hp??

oh yeah, im not sure about this, but it seems like when i do a snapout following cr.lk cr.lp <Snap> instead of 2lks, it appears to prop the opponent up a bit so the snapout hits them dead on…even hits cable yay! i dunno, can someone verify that this is more efficient… the thing is sometimes after the cr.lp the snapout doesnt come out… (or maybe i didnt have meter heh)

It doesn’t really matter if you add the lk or not. (concerning the tron question) But adding the lk means you have a way of seeing if you timed it correctly, i.e. you don’t have to throw out the launch blindly.

Most of the problems I see people have is when they launch, they time it wrong, so instead of the opponent flying up to rh ad.df lk etc. height, the 3rd hit from the assist puts them midway, and then you rh throw them instead. That, or they time it wrong and the opponent either blocks or gets grounded by the tron assist.

RACK:

Concerning the ground infinites, practice makes perfect. I’m guessing the claw method would work better for the tri jump lk lk. And yes, c.lk c.lp knocks everyone up to snapout level. It’s better than a lk lk snapout, since that misses on most people if they’re crouching.

mag/xxx/psy team without anotehr god???

mag/sim/psy (if u can work sim out)
mag/cyke/psy
mag/ironman/psy <<prolly the best one if u have a good ironman
mag/psy/tron
mag/karis/psy << same thing as with the sim… if u can manage karis, a decent setup

overall, i’d say that mag/IM/psy is ur best bet… two unmashable assists, two different rom setups, two great assists for magnus, then ironman with his best assist

magneto/IM/psylocke owns!!! basically magneto will always have the unmashable tempest available to him which kicks ass! there are set ups to the IM infinite from magnus and psy, and psy is just annoying at the end :stuck_out_tongue:

very kickass team indeed. i’m surprised it’s not up there with the rest of the top tier teams…

Because a good Sentinel would ruin that team. It’s like a crappier version of MSP. Loses to runaway for free, though, since you don’t have Storm. Rather have Sent for team fiend, I dislike using psy with IM.

I’ve kind of gotten attached to Tempest xx Hailstorm, and just those two’s teamwork. I’ve been trying to figure a new team, b/c MSP is just tooo dayum popular!! Any tips on who else could fill that last spot? I was told of Sent, but I’m not too good with him. . . or her. . .or it. . .whatever. Anyway, I was thinking Cammy myself; she’s a good AAA for Mag and Storm (right?), and b/c Lightning Storm xx KBA cancels damn near perfectly. Are there any other assists that I should connsider? I’m sure there are a lot more out there, seeing as there are 54 other characters to choose from. I was just wondering if anyone out there is seeing something I’m overlooking. Of course, it’d be great if Jill could fit there, but I doubt it.

I got one for ya though, it’s not really a doozie though. As you all know fellow Magneto players, that QUITE a lot of folk can punish Mags off a blocked launcher. My question is, wouldnt Magz counter move (hcf+kick. . . or is it hcb+punch) come in handy here? Wouldnt it stop any retaliation short of a headcrush, or AHVB? Input needed. . .

Jwong used cammy before, i think it was m/cable/cammy or something, but (and im probably wrong about this) you lose more combo options with cammy than psy, and the trouble with cammy’s KBA is its not a 100% going to work, there are times where itll fuck up… maybe de4deye knows or can confirm any of that, im just a newbie
