so anytime i call an assist and dont attack, it makes my assist unblockable? thanks for game breaking tactics!

ok so if this is really possable couldnt you just either dash forward your self or suki cancel (if you can do it fast enough) an attack into a block …
if someone is going to dash under and not attack and you can get away from the asst by dashing your self that would leave their asst open for damage is they were using mags ,storm or anyone with tri-jump wouldnt it?

(caps = you ; lowercase = them)
c.lk , c.hp , sj , hk , addf , lk , lk , dash+psy
DASH FORWARD , LP , DASH BACK , TRI-JUMP BACK , C.HP , TEMPEST
even after you do the tempest you could do c.lk+storm asst , c.hp , tempest
but thats only if dashing forward will get you out of it
Hey, hey that wasn’t my idea in the first place… I read it in gamefaqs.com (it kinda figures). I think it’s from a spider-man FAQ singing the phrases of a web ball assist being unblockable under such circumstances. I didn’t believe it myself so I had to ask.
are there any combos for a mag/s/d ? mainly any combos with doom

Mag/Doom is one of the more interesting combinations, since Dooms rocks are so random you can’t expect the same results every single time. Anyway:
Cr.lk + doom, lk gets you a free infinite set up. You could always pull off a quick cross up once they get thrown up by the rocks. And of course, there’s always : launch, rh, ad.df lk, lk, 1 hit rh + doom XX hypergrav tempest.
Unmashable, and quite painful. Not really any other combos with that team, I think.

launch, hk, dash df , lk lk, (land) (call doom), jump, hk down throw
i wasnt sure if you could follow up with a hypergravxxtempest when the opp. gets hit by the rocks
u can follow up with the infinite if you do it right

as stated before… dooms rocks are too random to be depending on in higher levels of play. about magz/s/d… ive never seen it played, most use sent or storm.

yeah i use mag more, i have a difficult time using storm in the arcades , and sentinel i just dont get alot of this flying/unflying stuff, about doom, what do you mean by random? the height of the rocks? the hits? can actually get an infinite off striders assist or otg
Damn… hella missed this one… Anyways… nope. Usually play at Sunnyvale… Milpitas is kinda expensive for me, last time I checked… 50 cents for MvC2. :eek: Also… not to bag on Milpitas peeps… I think SVGL’s comp is better.

By random I mean that the rocks don’t follow a set pattern. Like psy always hits twice, and IM hits a certain number of times. The rocks are totally random, meaning you can’t expect some things to always work if you rely on the rocks to set up something.
You could do that stuff that Mr. Power did -
Call Doom, FK throw, aim down. and infinite. Dunno if you can roll… try it out.

training mode , computer set on auto block, or are you just playing on arcades?
its on ps2 but if i set the computer on auto block then i cant start the combo to reset … i mean im sure that it is blockable but i thought i would make sure befor i go taking advantage of it
Yes, it is blockable. Every reset is blockable, which is why doing a reset is always risky - your opponent may guess correctly or get lucky and block it.
Random note: Launch, rh, ad.df lk, lk - land whiff s.lp + sent-Y, fk throw works stupidly well. The throw makes them fly onto the drones, easily run in and launch and kill them. Fun.
i just wanna make sure i get the definition right of a reset, its supposed to make your opp. block the wrong way, therefore resetting the damage scale when he gets hit right?
Yes, you got it right. What you actually ‘reset’ there is the combo meter.
De4dEyE: About FK throw to Sentinel assist… can you do that with Storm(a)? I can’t find the correct timing for it. The opponent just hits the ground before the typhoon hits. Thanks.
