DC Comics Thread

For an origin story I enjoyed Wonder Woman a bit more but GL was cool, 5 stars out of 5 and all that. Myself I preffered David Boreanaz as Hal Jordan in New Frontier. Chris did a fine job however. Andrea Romano is always good with finding the right vocal talents for DC characters.

Wonder Woman was incredibly well done i dug the origin.

But i preferred the lantern origin in New frontier over the one in first flight sinestro went from green straight to the sinestro core war gear and hal was all ion wannabe that was bullshit!!
Plus the guardians were totally nerfd they shouldve blown sinestro out of existence they are galaxy old immortals after all they are made up of near limitless power.

The movie gave him credit for alot of Rayners stuff plus the mass death of lanterns and they screwd Kanjar-Ro but all in all i give it a 4 out of 5. Killowogg’s design was amazing in that film and the overall animation quality rockd.

Yeah Killowogg lookd totally raw and i liked all the lady lanterns they were well done very attractive and smooth designs but still lookd like they could kick my ass!!

Oh yeah, i totally dont get how all the sudden the ring has all these powers it clearly has never had before. Sinestro goes to the morgue and briefly re-animates Kanjar-Ro’s brain synapses…? Really? Temprary resurrection?? Come on! And all the sudden, the corps can use leathal force… If i recall, part of Sinestro’s plot in the Sinestro corps war was forcing the green lanterns to have to use lethal force, thus abandoning many of their peace-keeping ideals.

No kidding i totally hear you on that.

Come to think of it they had ring to ring mind melding and intergalactic drug sorcery stones didnt quite get that? plus the whole downloading info from the battery and sinestro beating ppl down so easily and killowogg didnt get to womp on his ass which kinda sucked.

I just hope they have a sequel where Hal and his stupid boxing gloves get possessed by Parallax and Rayner/Ion get to beat his ass! Thats truly the only way Rayner will get the justice he deserves, since Hals “origin story” completely warped the Sinestro corps war

Thatd b great Nuff said!!

To the Wolves…the movie took some liberties with expanding on the Ring’s powers, but they also had to put in enough stuff for a 1 hour animated movie which is the case with most of these DC direct to DVDs.

I hear ya Tizoc. sweet avatar by the way! But yeah over all the flick was kick ass if not a bit off the shoot but i enjoyd it.

Responding to the last post about Sinestro.Sinestro WILL have a hero moment. He & Hal will team up do defeat the Blackest Night.Go back & read GL#43,Hal saw an image of Sinestro talking to him when he possessed the Blue ring.

Personally, im not liking all the up and down character driven redemption shit!

I do understand why its goin down, but i dont think they should have done it this way especially with hal in lead but i already stated my piece on that.

The books goin all superman/batman on me they had all these great arcs and intense art then it jumps from good to bad all the time, or crap just slips through the cracks blackest night gives me that feeling its like this amazing movie im enjoying only to see a bunch of shit ultimately let me down i just dont know im on the fence on this one.

Im liking parts of it but crap just keeps pissin me off or making me think do i wanna keep goin?

When is Batman coming back???

you mean Bruce, right?

Hahahaha, oh man, Nightwing1990 is back?

Now thats something me and my lil brother have been discussing non-stop im a HUGE!!!
Batman fan both bruce wayne and terry mcguiness but that aside.

Its tough to say one of the big wig DC guys confirmed at comic-con just passed that its definitely goin down Bruce Wayne will return but how and when who knows.

He got popped by darksides omega sanction to the head but he capped darksides evil ass with a Radion shard god killing bullet before he fell.

Now his body was a hefty lookin corpse bein held by his life brother/bestfriend superman but at the end of the book hes in ancient times with a cave dude drawing the bat symbol caveman style on his wall.

Then we see his grave being desecrated and some freaky juju stuff goin down and now hes a black lantern on the rise to jack shit up and bring final night.

So assuming that hes in 2 places and times at once or thats just his body in our time and its his spirit in caveman times or his consciesness/soul without body or ghost floatin or multiverse body split or who the hell knows?!!

But what i do know is this Red-Robin’s a beast kickin ass & takin names jason todd got owned by both Drake and Grayson and now Dicks in the batsuit doin a fine job of followin bruces legacy so i cant wait to see whats next!!!

The Omega Sanction is not the Omega Effect.

the Omega Sanction is a displacement field. Jimmy Olsen has been hit with it before. Batman is not ‘technically’ dead, even though there’s a body.

at SDCC, however, it was hinted that the skull Black Hand is using IS NOT that of Bruce.

many believe it’s the skull of Nekron.

Cry for Justice is a better comic than Batman and Robin but both of them are great.

Nekron really?!? thats cool isnt he the resident super demon badass/satan character in the DCU?

if i remember right hes got mega crazy whoa powers and is Godtier i suppose thatll make blackest night interesting.

That would make a million times more sense. Didio set it himself months ago that the Bruce Wayne skeleton may not have been Bruce Wayne. Mentioned it on other forums but they brushed if off.

Darkseid’s dead huh? Can you imagine a Black Lantern Darkseid.
