DC Comics Thread

Every cent spent for even a small DeadPool cameo in ANY Marvel book is usually worth it…if DP is portrayed fine.

I wanna see a Jonah Hex and DeadPool team-up :frowning:

Before I forget, which Batman book is this page from?

That’s from the Mike Allred issue of the late, great Solo.

So that’s why I didn’t recognize it - it’s the only issue I don’t have.

I’m still looking out for a (reasonably priced) copy of that for you. One day, my Asian brother, ONE DAY!! We shall rise up-- with FISTS!

Thanks for the help Zeph.
Why is it that good comics always get canceled? Solo, Gotham Central, etc.
Why do the masses have no appreciation for GOOD, FUN WRITING?!
Speaking of which am I the only here who has read Morrison’s Doom Patrol? Cuz I feel that if I reread it, it may top Watchmen to me. Then again, I have various series that top Watchmen to me @_@

John Cassaday has FINALLY completed Planetery #27. Hell struck by giant blizzard.

Flash Rebirth came out today. Pretty good, I like how things are set up so far.

?

Its interesting to see how Barry sees things. Like how he shouldn’t have come back. And how he doesn’t really see a grey area when it comes to criminals.

Was the villain in the beginning, Libra? I didn’t read Revelations, so maybe I missed out on something.

And the Black Racer is death, right?

They haven’t said how Bart came back (from the future! 1.21 Gigawatts! A bolt of lightning! It all makes sense!), yet, right? We’ve only seen that he came back in Legion of 3 Worlds, I guess since they delivered late on the finale of that mini-series, we’re in the dark.[/details]

Lol, wasn’t Planetary over…? I thought #26 was it, I had no idea there was even a #27. Is #27 the last one then…?

I need to reread that entire series, I have absolutely no memory of what that book was about now, I only remember that it’s like the greatest fucking comic of all time.

Yes, #27 is supposed to be the last one, except its been delayed for years.

flash rebirth was awesome. hopefully we get zoom in this mini

Flash Rebirth is out? Well I guess I am going to buy my first single issue in like 2 years or something.

BARRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYY.

Enough about Flash and Planetary, dammit! Seaguy: The Slaves of Mickey Eye #1 just came out!

I gotta go to the store.

Some teaser images of Blackest Night were released. Spoiler if you don’t want to know who two of the black lanterns are.

Saw the links…I’ve been tainted.
Wow.

Now that Planetary is finally done I wonder if they’ll do a big Omnibus collection of the series. Seems like I recall Ellis saying something to that effect once. Who wouldn’t want to buy an Absolute version of every issue collected? Even though it would weigh 60 lbs. and cost 300 dollars.

Anyway, after those two Blackest Night teasers and the leaked images of the action figures coming out, we know who three of the Black Lanterns are now right?

damn. i knew about the second character, but not the first one. blackest night cannot begin soon enough

here’s a quick random prediction about the Blackest Night

DS’ prediction

Spoiler

HAL JORDAN IS GOING TO DIE, seems like Johns wants Jordan wear every ring (Orange is coming next from the June solicits) and since we know that Black Lanterns are zombies so Hal need to die in order to be a zombie and wear the black ring.

What do you guys think?

Trying to get into GL, just read Secret Origin, which was FREAKING AWESOME, especially the last two issues. I’ll star from No Fear and go from there, but the question is: Where do I start on GLC? GLC: Recharge? I tried to do start with Rebirth on GL, and I realized “Wow, I have no idea who any of these people are except John Stewart from JL/JLU”.

Green Lantern Corps: Recharge was the mini that kicked off the monthly, and I enjoyed it a lot. You should definitely jump on that if you’re looking to pick up Corps. I think it introduces most of the side characters, 'cept for Sodam Yat.

The main Green Lantern book is overall much better though, and I think I got burned out buying two issues of Green Lantern every month (thank God the whole Sinestro War thing happened inside of the two monthlies, instead of having its own issues on top of stuff spreading out to the monthlies…although that’s generally the Marvel way to do things)…I think Recharge was the highlight of the entire line up to the first big crossover.
