It was rather entertaining, but I’ll get it for my nephew since he enjoys watching Teen Titans.
Regarding good GL stories, I gotta say I like how things go down in the JLA books.
As far as GL books go, I am more familiar with the Hal stuff than the Kyle Rayner stuff.
Also check out the Green Lantern: Willworld graphic novel by J.M. DeMatteis and Seth Fisher. It’s a wild Hal adventure.
sinestro corps was the best event of 2007 hands down. too bad dc decided to put all their promotions on that piece of shit series called countdown
OK got my Green Lantern fix and might start reading GL Corps.
Anyway I also want to know some good TPBs with Wildcat in them, since his JSA Classified issue was kickass.
Not to be late to the party, but I picked up the Infinite Crises TPB last night and read through it. I had the first two issues from before, just wanted to finish it for completeness sake. Still pissed they killed my favorite character off, but what are you gonna do?
I need to get Sinestro Corps this week, and some GL TPB’s and current issues. I think out of all the major DC players, GL and friends are the most underrated. Hopefully all this new shaking up going on will expand his fan base
Batgirl is awesome, I <3 Cassandra Cain.
Dang. Then I hope you haven’t been reading the…past year or so.
SO many changes…I miss the old shit.
Wildcat doesn’t get too many trades to himself. He pops up all over the place- JSA one week, Babs Gordon “Have Wildcat punch intruder in the mouth” red button the next.
Definitely recommend GLC, I think it’s better then GL (but I like Guy/Kyle more then Hal). The big issue there is some chars are written differently in GL and GLC.
My only gripe is that she can hold a conversation >_<, I miss When she has to take a break between words to make a short 3 word sentence that gets the job done XD
I don’t mind her learning how to read…or if she can’t; she badass the way she is
Damn that sucks that Wildcat ain’t got much appearance, the fact that he’s main props is that he’s a strong boxer is what got me interested in him.
Countdown was decent this week
Get Blue Beetle ASAP from this week- best comic I’ve read- well I’d say years, but I haven’t been reading that long…
Definitely gold
I just finished the New Frontier. It made me sad about comics current situation.
SUFFERIN SUSIE.
Teen Titans is getting really good. This arc is one of the better ones. I’m actually really starting to like Ravager, and I used to hate her.
Ravager

Looks like she has developed some precognitive powers…[/details]
Countdown is getting interesting.

That obviously couldn’t have been the “real” earth. I guess it was another alternate universe. Its pretty crazy what happened though.[/details]
And JLA was good. Can anyone who is reading Salvation Run tell me what’s been going on in that story?
So Blue Beetle is REALLY good? Might consider picking up…
Ok Im thinking about sending a letter to DC asking them to make a series for that knife crazed bulldog from Countdown 5 Who’s with me?
It’s a series that needs to be picked up- since it’s numbers are close to cancellation territory. Just like Manhunter. (which starts again in June)
Definite recommend. The last issue’s a bit of an homage to JLI, but it stands up quite well on its own. Art is a bit mediocre, but it works for the series. They’re going to filler after this one with a fill-in writer, so next issues may be on the low end of quality.
I’d judge it based on the 2nd and 3rd trades -or the Guy Gardner guest star spots.
Guy Gardner has gotten a lot of love and respect lately from DC, they planning to like kill him or something? Weird he went from offbeat joke character to serious powerhouse so quickly. I always like him, I consider him one of the “Big three” (Next to Hal Jordan and my main man Kyle Rayner, never was a fan of John).
I read Manhunter for the first nine or twelve issues, but I gave up on it. It felt like a poor man’s Daredevil, only a bit worse because of those Crisis tie-ins. Maybe it got better when I wasn’t looking, but I just thought it was kind of weak for a street-level, noirish, crime superhero comic. I felt the same way about Marvel’s District X, which I also wanted to like.
I also skipped out on the new Blue Beetle after the first issue. I’m prone to give up on a series if its first issue doesn’t interest me. It’s tough to write good first issues, but I wish writers would make a conscious effort to really hook the reader. Some people like to read the first issue before they decide to wait for the TRADE, BABY.
Geoff Johns is writing a tie-in to FC: “Final Crisis! Legion of Three Worlds” that deals with Superman and the LoSH, Superman-Prime and the Legion of Supervillians, and the original Legion. He says its not only about them though, but a lot of the 31st century DCU stuff. A couple interesting points: We get to find out who was brought back from the Lightning Saga, and also, for GL fans:
I am genuinely interested in this.
