Anyone pick up the JL: New Frontier comic on Wed? I had no idea COOKE was doing a new series about this stuff. Being the huge COOKE fan that I am, I may have to get this. Is it gonna be on-going?
It’s just a one-off special to celebrate the release of the film adaptation. Also, if you check out COOKE’s issue of Solo from a couple years back, there’s some more New Frontier-related stuff in there.
I picked up that special (its a one-shot, like Zephy says), and it was awesome! It deals with three different stories pertaining to the New Frontier universe:
Very light spoilers

- The Batman/Superman fight from the newspaper clipping in the original
- a side story with Robin and Kid Flash
- a women’s rights movement story with Wonder Woman[/details]
Also has some concept art from the animated movie. Well worth the price, in my opinion.
Oh, and Teen Titans (Year One) is great, too. The latest issue has a lot more action than the previous ones. The art is still great, and the story is nice. Nothing too heavy, but its fun.

I was just getting ready to ask what’s been going on in Green Lantern.The last issue that I got was #27 when the Guardians transformed some of the GL Corps members into the Alpha Lanterns & they arrested Laira for killing Amon Sur.What Sinestro do this time?
If you guys are talking about recent comics (say, the last six months or so?), can you use spoiler tags or something? Sano, what’re the rules for spoilers, anyway?
Yeah i would like to know that too altough i think in my previus post i didnt actuly spoil anything (saying that someone owned doesnt seem like a spoiler) but if i did i will edit it

That wasn’t a spoiler, but I was thinking more of DA GAME’s post… And 'cause he asked what happened in the last issue, I was just hoping you guys (or people in general) would remember to use spoiler tags.
Not that I really care too much about learning Green Lantern spoilers. But other people might. And I gotta do Sano’s job for him. That’s why he’s giving me that STREET FIGHTER: THE MOVIE comic. Right, Sano? Right? Yeah!!!

Yeah usually if it’s something that happens this very week you should put a spoiler tag on it, only if it is something major like “Alfred just died!” If it is something minor like “Aquaman kicked ass in the last issue” than it’s fine. And no neither of those things happened… Well for Aquaman I’m just taking a guess but still… :looney:
If it’s a spoiler thread, something like “The last issue of X-Men” or has the word spoiler in the title somewhere than it’s fine. Because those are threads you should know not to look at if you don’t want the story spoiled for you.

It’s all just a suggestion on my part, I can’t really enforce anything with regards to spoilers. Use your judgement. If I catch something early I’ll try to tag it like always.

Anyone here reading the new Metal Men comic? I might have to jump onto it before the inevitable cancel, I’ve been a fan of them for a while, they just don’t get represented well.
That new Metal Men is Duncan Rouleau, right? I like his art. I think I will check that out when it comes out in TRADE, BABY. I thought it was like a six or eight issue miniseries? The only thing that worries me is if it’s closely related and tied into all the Crisis junk. That’s the same reason why I haven’t picked up Milligan’s Infinity Inc. yet.
superman earth 22 took a hit from hercules and didn’t move at all. then back hand the shit of him and then the other superman grab him and smash him in a wall… in the jsa 13, i know this is random of me to come out and post something like this. but hercules in the dc world is so much stronger then the marvel one

Just read Countdown, Booster Gold and Tiny Titans 1 and 2. Yes, Tiny Titans is for kids, I just thought it was too adorable to pass up. I was surprised though because there are a few jokes in there that kids won’t get unless they know the history of the Teen Titans.
Countdown is getting interesting, and I thought it was tying into Booster Gold, but I’m not sure… I’ll have to wait till they clarify. Booster Gold was great as always.
So Tiny Titans is good? Might as well pick it up

What are some good Green Lantern and Wildcat books to read?
I liked the art, and the jokes were really cute, but I couldn’t help but think “Why did I buy this?” after reading them. I probably won’t pick up any more, but you might want to skim through it a bit before you pick it up to see if you’ll like it.
Sinestro corps war without a doubt best thing that came out in 2007
Sinestro Corps definately, the few I read was pure comic bliss for me.
Green Lantern: Legend of the Green Flame was a great read as well, the art and central story pulled you in, and included a lot of different characters and references (It was originally created to tie up a failing series).
