I really don’t know what to make of the Damian owning all of the Robins story in B&R. Seems pointless.
I do like the villains though. One guy has Batman’s boot mark on his face and another has a Batarang permanently lodged in his head. Now THAT is funny.
I enjoyed Dark Knight Rises. I think the previous film is better because no one comes close to matching Heath Ledger’s peformance. Still it’s really entertaining and it leaves their little Bat universe in a good place.
Kind of sad, but I don’t think Morrison ever kicked it up to the next gear, he was always stuck in first. Whether it was him or DC keeping the man down I don’t know. I liked the run, but it’s not a definitive one by any means. Now I am just afraid there will be nothing Superman related to read now.
True, but sad nonetheless. I know a lot of people that hate on Morrison’s various runs for some reason, but I enjoyed his time on Batman and Superman titles regardless. He’ll be missed, and I hope some good talent fills the void. DC could hire me I’d kick all kinds of ass on either one.
DC unfortunately never hires new writers, they don’t even take submissions or scripts from new writers trying to get in the door. If you want to work for them, you have to have worked elsewhere. Freaking stupid policy but that’s how they roll.
This is just for writers. They do take on new artists, inkers, letterers, etc.
At least they are somewhat honest about it. Not that other companies don’t take on new writers but they throw out new writer submissions faster than Dr. Dre would throw out new rapper cassettes out of his car, somewhere around after 2 or 5 minutes of listening.
I know I’ve said it before but Batwing really is such a fun title to read, since the art change I’ve gotten into the comic a lot more and I appreciate the villain base he is acquiring. They also blend the tech based stuff and more traditional bat methods pretty well. Hope it is doing well sales wise.
Maybe JLI can live on through other titles in some capacity, or given a back-up feature in Batwing or some Batman title.
Though I’m not very familiar with his work, he sure left quite a legacy in comics. Andy and adam were some of my favorite artists growing up. Even some of the talent that came from his school were also people that i’ve followed over the years. I remember reading through those ads, always wanting to go to that school when I was younger.
It must be amazing leaving a legacy through your family, talents, and teaching. I think that would be the ultimate goal as an artist.
I think its time to see what that SGT. Rock was all about. I think I remember it was going to be a movie when guy richie was interested in directing.
I also regret not seeing any of the kuberts at comic-con now that I think of it.
I think I got Adam or Andy’s signature a long time ago, back in the '90s. I don’t think the Kuberts come to New York often or do panels here. I could be wrong though.
I rather enjoyed this hate-filled analysis which explains just why Johns’ Green Lantern is such a terrible comics series. This article was more entertaining than anything Geoff Johns has written in the past eight years.
Between Before Watchmen, the Superman and Wonder Woman hook up and the next Who’s Who book resetting everyone’s origin years to 2011 I’m a little fed up with DC right now.
I swear Bob Harris is trying to destroy the entire comics industry AGAIN like he almost did in the 90s.
Oh well Batman and Batman Inc. are still really good.
Anyone got in info on the new death in the family batman story coming up. Who you think gets beat with a crowbar to death, im hoping nightwing, but it will probably be bat girl crippled again
