Heh I decided to see it after you convinced me. It makes a lot of sense if you read War of the GLs’ last part…which was kinda BS at the end
War of the GL finale
[details=Spoiler]Seriously Guardians? Hal helps save the Core AND THE UNIVERSE AND YOU DENOUNCE HIS GL STATUS?! CAN YOU BE ANY MORE RETARDED?!
If anything much of the shit that’s been happening was caused by the Guardians themselves, little bastards just don’t want to take responsibility[/details]
With the relaunch starting by August and September the other 2 GL books just have a short story featuring Gardner and John Stewart.
Flashpoint: Abin Sur #2 moved stuff along quickly and nicely IMO, let’s see how this’ll end. Oh and there is also FP: Hal Jordan, I do believe that these 2 minis will published together in one TPB.
Secret Six #35: Hmm if my calculations are correct…there were 2 SS minis before this ongoing (6 issues each). Add that to the current # of issues so far and we get 47…just 3 issues away from a 50th issue.
Really enjoyed it, though it kind of took them long enough to get the whole point of the story
Bane is badass
[details=Spoiler]Mainly Bane wanting to take down Batman’s associates! Including Robin (Damien) and Batgirl!
Bane does not fuck around, son[/details]
Superman 713: Well we’re finally reaching the end of JMS’ run, everything concludes next issue with Supes ending his trek~
Flashpoint: Frankenstein & the creatures of the unknown: I personally find that Frankenstein is a character that very few could ever write properly. Even though Morrison was the one who introduced him in a 4 issue mini, the way he presented him was great and made it easy to figure out the character. Plus he made him badass-
I find that he’s written OK in this mini but…I feel that Frankenstein should be used for extremly bizarre and complex stories.
1 & 2
Spoiler
Right so Frankenstein is woken up during WW2 and joins a band of monsters to help fight in WW2. However with WW2 over, him and the other monsters were put in stasis instead of being set free. Fast forward 60 years to after Cyborg and co. free FP Superman, where the gang escapes the compound and travel to Slaughter Swamp to decide on their next move. They are attacked there however, but are saved by…the Bride of Frankenstein.
Flashpoint: Citizen Cold #2
I thought it was a good issue
[details=Spoiler]Mirror Master frees the Rogues who kidnap Cold’s sister to get Cold to them. They eventually square off, with Cold being victorious, but Cold is brutally wounded and his sister was killed.
Last issue may deal with his identity being revealed to the public[/details]
A good week from DC for me IMO.
